We make all our food ourselves and buy ingredients from local farmers and markets. We love to get back to basics and give our customers great wholesome, home cooked foods. We love good food and we know that you love good food too. There is nothing better than the thrill of finding that new little place that just opened with "to die for coffee" and consistent " nom nom" cakes.

A little behind the scenes of where we actually get our produce for Petrichor. 🍅🥑🌿

A lot happens before the food gets to your table — early mornings, walking around the markets, comparing prices, checking quality, carrying boxes and loading the car myself. 😂

We’ve been coming to these markets and buying from some of the suppliers here for more than 10 years, all the way back to our previous café.

David used to do most of these market runs. Sometimes we’d come together, but it was mainly his thing.

And now it’s another one of those things I have to learn to do on my own.

It might sound like a small thing, but I’m starting to realise that rebuilding my life and the café is made up of a lot of little things like this.

One at a time.

This is Episode 2 of rebuilding my life and my café.

The goal: 40% more sales by September 2027.

Let’s see if I can do it. ❤️

I’ve changed the way I see success. For me, it’s not about having everything figured out or pretending everything is fine.

It’s about finding your way back up after life knocks you down, sometimes really fu***ng hard.

Maybe not straight away. Maybe it takes months. Maybe you’re still figuring things out while you’re getting back up.

I think that’s where I am now. Rebuilding my life and rebuilding my café.

I know David wouldn’t want me to give up. He’d want me to keep going and keep building the life we worked so hard for.

I’m not starting from zero. I’m starting from everything we built, everything I’ve learned, and everything I’ve been through.

So… here we go again.

Some seasons break you.
Some seasons rebuild you.

The past few months have been the hardest of our lives.

We kept showing up while carrying grief.
We kept making coffee when our hearts felt heavy.
Some days, simply opening the doors was an act of courage.

But little by little, hope found its way back.

Today, Petrichor feels alive again.
Not because life became easier,
but because we chose to keep going.

Thank you to every person who walked through our doors, shared a coffee, offered a kind word, or simply kept believing in us.

This comeback belongs to all of us.

Here's to new beginnings, without forgetting where we've been.
