Join us tomorrow and feel right at home.

On Sunday 4 October, Marlowe turns one and we’re throwing a party. A long lunch, a full table and a DJ on the Patio keeping the celebration going late into the afternoon.

Join us in celebrating all the family dinners that happened here, the first dates that turned into something more, the long overdue catchups finally kept. The tables where birthdays, some just like this one, were celebrated, hands got held and deals got made. A year of memories, made one table at a time.

Because a restaurant isn’t really about the room. It’s about who sat in it. So come back to the table that’s held your stories and celebrate with us.

Come for the classics, stay for the specials and don’t skip dessert (there’s cake - with sprinkles).

Tuck into our Braised Wagyu Short Rib, the ultimate comfort dish.

Coated in a sticky stout glaze, braised low and slow until it falls from the bone. Served over artichoke puree, finished with artichoke crisps, fresh chives, and a spoon of beef jus.

We’re saving you a seat.

New to the menu. Basil and Zucchini Risotto with Grilled Yabby Tail.

Rice cooked slowly in vegetable stock, then finished to order with a zucchini and basil puree, diced zucchini, butter and cheese. Herbaceous and green, the way late winter cooking should be. A grilled yabby tail on top, a thread of chive oil to close.

On the menu now. It can be made vegan on request.

BYO Tuesday nights at Marlowe are yours to fill.

Bring the bottle you have been saving, or something carried home from further afield, and let us pour it properly. No corkage, full w**e service, our best glassware. Our list is proudly Australian, so this is the night for the ones that sit outside it.

All of it in the rooms you can see here. Low lights, a bit of warmth, the clink of glasses and easy conversation. At the pass, the kitchen moves in steady rhythm, plates checked and sent, dish after dish carried out to the table still warm. Reservations on our website.

This is the last Sunday for our Chicken Kiev.

It has been the centre of Sunday Service since we launched it, a crumbed chicken breast filled with garlic herb butter over cabbage, a classic reworked our way. If you have been meaning to try it, this is the Sunday to do it.

Make a proper afternoon of it. The Bloody Mary Cart comes past on Sundays only, built at your table with house made tomato juice, blue cheese liqueur, lemon and your choice of Absolut Vodka or Beefeater Gin. The Kiev and a Bloody Mary is how a Sunday should go.

This is how the plate ends every time. Get in before it is gone for good.

Sunday lunch from 12pm. Reservations on our website.

A view through the old rooms.

Marlowe lives inside a set of heritage flats, and you can still feel it. Doorways frame one room from the next, walls carry their age, and no two spaces are quite the same. Some are for long lunches, some for lingering dinners, some for a quiet table set just off the light.

Come and find the one that is yours.
