We’re setting up our little corner at Brisbane City After Dark next Friday 25th Sept, 4–9pm — pop-up bar, live music, 70+ stalls, right by the river.

Bring the appetite. We’re bringing the éclairs, the cannelés, the tarts — the full French spread, straight from our stall to your hands 🙌🏼

This year we wanted dads to feel like they deserved better than a simple bottle of whiskey for Father’s Day.

So we put together Le Papa — a cannelé, a raspberry tart, a proper éclair, two macarons and a few of our savoury bites, all in one box.

You choose 2 of the big desserts, we handle the rest.

$45 the box.

There’s a side of Bistro Valéry a lot of people haven’t seen yet.

At the core, we’re a French catering business — gourmet boxes and lunches, delivered anywhere in Brisbane.

And honestly, that’s just the start of it.

Most weeks you’ll also catch us out at the markets: Wednesdays at Reddacliff Place, Thursdays in Milton, Saturdays in New Farm — with more stops being added soon.

These days we run two stalls side by side. One’s for the sandwiches — real French baguettes piled high, with a full spread of pastries next to them. The other just opened, and it’s dedicated entirely to dessert: think éclairs, tarts, cannelés, macarons, the lot.

Catering, markets, sandwiches, dessert — turns out there’s more to us than the boxes.

Just pastries. That’s it. No towers, no fuss, no fancy plating — just really good croissants and viennoiseries that make people stop scrolling their phones for five minutes.

I’ve watched enough sad muffin platters get ignored in boardrooms to know the bar is not high. Ours still gets cleared out by 9:15.

Works just as well for a Sunday brunch, a birthday, whatever excuse you’ve got really.

Ever wondered what actually shows up when you order from us?

Here’s a real one. Beignets, mini croissants in whatever flavours you want, and baguettes cut into pieces so everyone gets a bit of everything.

No massive minimum. No “sorry, orders start at 50 people.” Just good French food, sized for whatever you’ve got going on — brunch with the family, a birthday, or your Monday staff meeting that needs saving.

We’re launching a dessert stall.

Not “a few extra sweets on the table” — a full, dedicated Bistro Valéry dessert stall.

First stop: Le Festival, Roma Street Parkland, July 24–26.

Here’s what’s landing on it:

🥐 French Specialties — Chocolate & Vanilla Éclairs, Passionfruit Tart, Lemon Meringue, Raspberry Tart, Macarons

🍰 Cakes — Caramel Slice, Berry Frangipane, Lemon Coconut, Chocolate Brownie

🥄 Dessert Cups — Tiramisu, Black Forest, Chocolate Mousse, Apple Crumble

All made the way we’ve always made it. French flour, real ingredients, nothing reheated.

And here’s the best part — this isn’t a one-weekend thing. After the festival, the dessert stall becomes a permanent fixture at the markets. Miss us at Roma Street? You’ll get another shot.

More markets are coming too. This is just the start. 👀
