We’ll be closing a little early (1pm) this Friday 21/08 to make space for the launch of this important research by Community Living Association’s Community Connections team. We’re fortunate to operate in a space with a long history of caring for the community. For nearly 30 years, the Australian Red Cross Night Café has operated from the City Hall Basement, providing young people aged 12 to 25 who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness, with a nourishing meal, a hot shower, free clothing, and support to help get their lives back on track. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings, our shared space becomes a vital hub of connection, care, and opportunity. Nundah Community Enterprises Cooperative’s partnership with Red Cross, through sharing this space, strengthens opportunities for disadvantaged people across Brisbane. We’re incredibly proud to be not just a cafe but also part of a sector that works every day to build stronger, more inclusive communities.
