Good on you, Cleveland Police.

At approximately 7:30am this morning, a vehicle was pulled over by police and allowed to be left parked directly across the driveway to Pieman in Cleveland.

The result? Our access from Bloomfield Street has been completely blocked.

For a local business trying to open, receive deliveries, serve customers and simply operate, this is completely unacceptable.

We have spent the day trying to have the vehicle moved, yet despite police being responsible for the situation in the first place, nobody appears to be available to actually fix it.

Where is the consideration for the business operator whose access has been shut off?

Where is the common sense in allowing a vehicle to be left blocking a commercial driveway for hours?

This is supposed to be policing serving the local community.

From where we are standing today, it is extremely difficult to see it that way.

Cleveland Police, this is simply not good enough.

Our business has been left with 100% restricted access from Bloomfield Street because of a situation created this morning, and we are still waiting for someone to take responsibility and have it resolved.

Absolutely pathetic

UPDATE‼️The car has now been moved, thankfully.

A lot of people wouldn’t understand the frustration of having your business driveway blocked all day and the impact that can have when you’re a small family business simply trying to survive. We’re not asking for anything unreasonable, just a little consideration for local businesses and the people who rely on access to them.

Kindness & consideration costs nothing🧡
