Ya Hoo Dining is a family business run by family members; founded by Raymond Tan (nickname Tan 哥). The origin of the name "YA HOO"; "也好" - meaning, "everything is good". Raymond started his chef career in the 1980's in Melbourne and opened his first restaurant in 2000 in Toowong. Throughout that decade, he had established restaurants in various locations throughout Brisbane. More recently, Ya Hoo

Hillcrest and Ya Hoo Waterford both continue to successfully serve delectable Malaysian cuisine. Ya Hoo Dining Mt Gravatt is the most recent expansion to the family chain. We are excited to share our passion for Malaysian food with those who love an authentic offering - come and find out what our specials are!
