Bright Brewery is a family-owned craft brewery, bar and restaurant located in the heart of beautiful Bright, Victoria. Inspired by the mountains, trails and alpine environment that surround Bright, we passionately craft and serve MountainCrafted beers that showcase our High Country home. Is it just us, or has everyone finally thawed out? ☀️🚲

The sunshine's back, the days are getting longer, and it's the perfect excuse to dust off the bike, stretch the legs and get back out exploring everything Bright has to offer.

As a proud Ride High Country Preferred Business, we've got the little things covered to make your ride that bit easier, from bike parking to water refill stations, food to fuel your rides as well as a bike repair station and bike locks (though limited!) if you need them.

Whether you're tackling trails, cruising the rail trail or enjoying a leisurely day out, we're the perfect place to finish with a cold beer, a great meal and stories from your explorations.

Spring has arrived - see you out there on the trails or in the paddock sipping a cold one. 🍻

📰Updates from the Tian Shan mountains of Kyrgyzstan from Sammy .mcmahon.35 and Jimmy .ashby.96 . (Can you believe it’s been 3 months since they set off on their big bike adventure!)

And what a wild ride (pun intended) it’s been.

Riding through Uzbekistan they were battling 40+ degree days: which meant early starts and early finishes. And the heat didn’t let up for their first week in Kyrgyzstan either. They decided riding in the mornings and chilling by glacial rivers in the afternoon was definitely the go (we 100% agree juding by the smile of Sammy in the photo).

There have been many high mountain passes to cross, and epic descents to send it down, with a few more on the horizon in their last couple of weeks.

They can almost taste the deliciousness of some crisp, cold Bright Brewery beers, but will be soaking up the last couple of weeks of the big adventure first before we see them back in Bright in October!

The snow maybe low but the vibes are super high for the Australian Backcountry Festival on this weekend and we're proud to be a sponsor again!

We love getting out and about in the backcountry, so supporting a festival that's 100% volunteer-run, by the backcountry community for the backcountry community, is something we're always stoked to be part of. It's exactly the kind of grassroots, nature-led initiative that keeps the alpine spirit alive - welcoming skiers, riders and outdoor explorers of every level, while championing low-impact recreation and environmental stewardship.

This year we've donated smo beautiful bright orange ski straps for the event (no getting lost on our watch), and we can't wait to see them out and about on the mountain.

If you're up there this weekend, make sure to say hi to Ellie and Rob - they'll be manning the bar and keeping everyone warm with Hot Toddys and well-deserved cold beers. 🍻

It’s International Dog Day!

If we're being honest... every day is Dog Day around here.

We're proudly dog-friendly, absolutely dog-obsessed, and lucky enough to work alongside our mates at RSPCA Victoria to help support dogs who deserve a second chance.

Every year we brew our DoggoBrau Tropical XPA (coming back this November!), with proceeds helping support RSPCA Victoria, and it's become one of your all-time favourite annual releases. This year we also welcomed Sticky Paws Hazy Mango IPA to the lineup, proving that if there's an excuse to put a dog on a beer, we'll probably take it.

So if you're heading to the mountains with your four-legged adventure buddy, make sure you swing by. We'll have cold beers for the humans, plenty of pats for the pups, fresh water bowls waiting, and a warm welcome for wagging tails of every shape and size.

Here's to the good dogs. The cheeky dogs. The muddy dogs. The old dogs. The rescue dogs. The adventure dogs.

This Wednesday we’re pouring beers for our Community Keg group -University of the Third Age – Bright Chapter!👩‍🎓

Every dollar spent on the Community Keg beer this Wednesday from 5pm goes straight to U3ofA. That’s right - 100% of it lands with them! They’re raising funds for an outside garden area of the building including a BBQ area.

U3A Bright is a volunteer co-operative for older folks - recently retired, long retired, or just thinking about it - who come together for educational, creative and leisure activities. A genuinely lovely community doing great things! Reach out if you’re new in town and want to join🙂.

So grab a schooner, grab a mate, and help them out while you're at it. Every pint pulls its weight. 🍻
