Like plenty of other small businesses you’ve probably seen posting today, from 1 October we can no longer pass card surcharges on to customers.
The processing fees haven’t gone away — we still pay them — we just have to wear that cost now.
It is what it is. We can’t change it, and we’re not interested in carrying on about it.
What we also don’t want to do is increase our prices just to cover it.
So for now, our prices are staying the same.
If you’d like to help us, and other small businesses like ours, absorb these extra costs, the best thing you can do is simply keep supporting us.
Pop in for that extra coffee. Grab a snack while you’re here. Visit us one more time than you normally would. Pay cash if you happen to have it.
None of that is expected, and card is still absolutely welcome.
We just want to be open about the fact that, like so many small businesses, we’re now carrying another cost behind the scenes.
Every little bit of support genuinely helps, and we’re very grateful every time you choose to spend your money with us.
