The pies are having their moment and honestly, they deserve it.

Chicken, shallot, silverbeet and pea. Beef, red w**e and bacon. Pork, fennel and apple. Lamb, mushroom and rosemary. Tandoori vegetable. All made by hand in the Bendooley kitchen, all on the counter fresh each morning. Family and individual sizes available.

Did you know you can order a chef-prepared dinner from The Larder and pick it up on your way home?

Our take home dinner packages cover all the heavy lifting. Slow braised lamb shoulder, red w**e beef cheeks, braised pork neck, Sri Lankan chicken curry, pumpkin spinach and ricotta cannelloni and more. All made fresh in the Bendooley kitchen. All ready to collect, heat and bring to the table. Pick up a bottle of Bendooley Estate w**e at the same time and dinner is completely sorted.

Our B**g B**g Races Picnic Box is now available to pre order. A house-made wrap, dip, cheese and cold cut meats, crackers, olives and a house-made tartlet, all packed fresh from The Larder kitchen and ready for a day at the track.

$45 per person. Order as many as your group needs. GF, DF and V options available, just add your dietaries at checkout. Pick up from The Larder from 8:30am on Friday 20 November. Orders close 48 hours before. For larger group orders, get in touch directly about delivery to the races.

The counter changes with the seasons and right now this cauliflower, lentil, pumpkin and spinach salad is proof of that.

Alongside it, the ones that never leave. Our Thai style chicken, shallot, capsicum and vermicelli and penne pesto with marinated chicken, olives, sundried tomato and rocket. Made fresh every single day, season after season.

There are two things our kitchen does particularly well in winter. Red w**e slow cooked beef cheeks and braised pork neck with fennel and apple.

Both are chef prepared in the Bendooley kitchen and available as dinner packages, complete with smoked paprika roasted vegetables, a fresh chickpea and herb salad and a flourless orange, almond and rosemary cake to finish. Collect from The Larder, heat and serve. Dinner for four, done properly.
