🌴 10 FUN THINGS TO DO IN BOWEN THESE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS! ☀️

🌊 1. Start with Bowen's FREE waterpark
The kids can splash, play and cool off at the free waterpark while you enjoy the beautiful beachfront setting. 🏖️☀️
There's also a FREE town pool just across the road.
🏖️ 2. Explore Horseshoe Bay
Bowen's best swimming and snorkelling beach. There are coral gardens on both sides of the bay.
All that Whitsundays underwater magic WITHOUT having to pay for a boat!
🥾 3. Walk the Cape Edgecumbe Trail
Head from Horseshoe Bay towards Murray Bay and discover spectacular coastal views along the way.
If you get lucky you might see whales 🐋
🐚 4. Go beach hopping!
Bowen has eight beaches, so why settle for one? Check out Rose Bay, Grays Bay, Murray Bay, Queens Beach and more.
If the famous wind is blowing on one side just drive around to another 😁
🪸 5. Explore coral at low tide
Low tide around the bays exposes beautiful coral and marine creatures. Put on some reef shoes and explore.
🥭 6. Visit the Big Mango
You can't come to Bowen without getting the obligatory Big Mango photo! 🥭 The giant 10-metre mango has been a Bowen icon since 2002.
🛝 7. Have a play at Queens Beach
Pack the kids, swimmers and a picnic and make a morning of it around this part of town. There's plenty of parkland, playgrounds, a skate park and a basketball court.
🎬 8. Catch a movie at Summergarden Cinemas
Perfect for a hot afternoon… or when Mum needs everyone to sit still for two hours! 😂
🛍️ 9. Visit the Bowen Sunday Markets
Head to Hansen Park on Sunday morning for local produce, food, handmade goodies and plenty of browsing.
The markets run every Sunday during these holidays.
🌅 10. Finish the day at Flagstaff Hill
Jump in the car and head up for those gorgeous Bowen views as the sun starts dropping over the coastline.
Fish and chips from the marina make it a great dinner option.
