Apparently you all really love the soccer and you’ve nearly booked out the building, so we’re going to open at 4am tomorrow to make sure you are sufficiently fed and caffeinated for this very important match!

We might be expecting 25mm of rain today but we have warm bowls of brekkie dahl on the specials and that’s quite a lovely way to warm up on a Saturday morning.

Kabuli chickpea and red lentil dahl with roasted cauliflower, pickled red onion, mint yoghurt and crispy chilli oil served with sourdough toast on the side. Add a couple of poached eggs if you wish!

Potato + caraway kraut rosti topped with two fried eggs, Fleurieu sour cream, chives and crispy fried onions. On the specials all weekend until sold out

Sat & Sun 8:30am-2:30pm, closed Monday!

Winter workshop dates have landed! 🙌🏼

We told you that our Chilli Preserving Workshop in April would be the only one for the year, but so many of you asked for another date that we’re going to sneak another one in at the end of May! Plus all of your favourites of course - pickling, fermenting and kimchi. Come to one, come to all!

Our workshops are suitable for beginner picklers & fermenters, as well as those who want to build on prior knowledge. Book with a group of friends or come along solo - our workshops are informative, fully hands-on and lots of fun.

You might not see her straight away, but you’ll find Rhia tucked away in the kitchen at MGB, prepping your favourite condiments, baking your favourite cakes, cooking your favourite breakfasts and keeping everything running oh so smoothly.

She’s one of the masterminds behind our weekend specials (you all keep asking us to bring back Spanakopita eggs… should we do it?? 👀), and her genuine love for food and cooking shines through in everything she does.

Rhia has been part of our team for 5 years now, and in that time she’s become such a HUGE part of what makes MGB what it is! If you’ve ever enjoyed a meal with us, Rhia had a hand in making it special. We’re so grateful for everything she brings to the team each and every day.

We’re on the hunt for a Barista/FOH to join our team! We’re looking for someone who is excited to be part of our core team and build great relationships with our local customers and Bowden community.

About the role:

☕️ Barista experience is essential
🥑 Experience in a fast paced café preferred
⏳ Approx 20 hours available over 4 days (this can be flexible depending on the applicant)
📆 Weekend availability essential
💛 We are looking to fill this position straight away
