A huge thank you to everyone who supported us on CaféSmart Day, August 7! 💛

We are so excited to share that, thanks to our amazing customers and community, we raised slightly over our $500 goal! 🎉🙌

Every coffee purchased online, every donation made in-store, and every delicious cupcake sold helped us reach our target — and go just a little bit beyond it! 🧁☕️

Join the Team at Kitchen EightyAte

We’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic team member to join our busy cafe. This is a hands-on role, offering the opportunity to learn a variety of skills in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Baking and food preparation
* Cooking and meal assembly
* Preparing barista-quality coffee and other beverages
* Providing friendly and efficient customer service
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic workspace

What We’re Looking For

* Physically fit, with the ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift heavier boxes when required
* Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
* Uses initiative, plans ahead, and works well independently as well as part of a team
* Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
* Friendly, positive attitude with excellent customer service skills

Hours

Some early morning starts are required, with early afternoon finishes, making this a great role for someone who enjoys having their afternoons free.

What We Offer

* Full on-the-job training – experience is welcome but not essential

* The opportunity to develop skills in baking, cooking, coffee making, and customer service

For every coffee sold today, we’ll donate $1 to CaféSmart, helping support Australians experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

We’ve also baked these gorgeous CaféSmart cupcakes, with 100% of cupcake sales donated to the cause! 🧁🌻

This Friday 7 August, we’re proud to be taking part in CafeSmart—where every coffee sold helps support people experiencing homelessness in our local community.

Your morning coffee can help provide:

🤝 Practical support and hope

We’ve added a little extra sunshine to the café today with bright yellow flowers, smiles, and plenty of great coffee. 🌼

This Friday 7 August, every coffee purchased at our CaféSmart Café helps support people experiencing homelessness right here in our local community.

Enjoy your favourite brew, soak up the sunshine vibes, and know that your coffee is doing so much more than warming your hands—it’s helping provide meals, safe accommodation, clothing, medical care, and vital support to those who need it most.

We’ve decorated the café in bright yellow to spread a little sunshine, and we’d love to see you pop in, grab a coffee, and help make a difference.
