Victoria here. To all our valued customers who have continuously supported us for nearly 12 years, it is with a heavy heart to inform you all that we have decided to sell the business. After all these wonderful years, it is time to move on to a new challenge.

I would like to thank all of our wonderful staff for rocking up each and every day with a smile on your face and always working your best. You guys make this restaurant what it is, and we wouldn't be where we are today without your dedication and hard work! We appreciate all that you do, and we will miss you greatly, I know you will make the new owners extremely proud 💓

To all our wonderful customers whom I have had the absolute privilege of getting to know on a weekly basis. Thank you for supporting us and becoming our regulars. You make it a joy to come into work every day, and it's so rewarding building relationships with you and your families. Thank you for all the awesome chats and hilarious banter. I have met some amazing people and friendships here, and for that, I'll be forever grateful 🙏

This week will be my last week at the restaurant. I would love to see you all here for one last meal, one last takeaway, and one last visit with your families to say goodbye. Thank you to those whom I have seen recently and been able to say goodbye. I will be here from Thursday till Sunday nights for those who want to pop in.

I know you will all love the new owners Robert and Guri, I have had the privilege of working with Robert since November, and they can't wait for next Monday!!

This week we lose our favourite, most effective ,effortlessly funny & extremely talented Tay (who is also writing this post) 😋 All jokes aside I would love to see all my regular customers who have become more like family to me on my last shift Sunday night this week! If you can’t make it in I wanted to take the time now to say thanks to all the people who have made this job a lot more enjoyable by being so kind & caring and letting me ramble on to you instead of doing my other duties. 🤣 Hope to see some of my favourite faces Sunday.❤️🍷🍝

We spiced up our alfresco area with some fairy lights just in time for Father’s Day! 🖤 Thanks Darryl!
Customers often shy away from the alfresco when it’s mentioned by staff - We all agree it’s nicer then you’d think! The cafe blinds provide warmth in the winter and beautiful fresh sunshine in the warmer weather - 3 heaters located above the tables which keep the area surprisingly warm or fans to keep the fresh air flowing providing a much more private dining experience for your family (quieter too) in the warmer months we usually have the doors open the whole way across so it becomes one big restaurant ☺️ Book your next birthday or occasion in our alfresco! …ps NO booking fee or deposit required… 🤫🥰

On Monday night we attended the 2022 Restaurant & Catering Awards for Excellence as our store made it into the finals for Family Dining 🥰 Although we didn’t win the award we certainly were reminded just how lucky we are to have the staff we do. Our store has seen many changes over the past year or two and we have had a few significant team members leave to start a new chapter meaning a lot of pressure has been passed onto the young employees we have working with us, most of which are attending school or university whilst helping run the restaurant. It sounds cliché but without the staff we have working so hard day in and out we wouldn’t be where we are today. So once again, even if we didn’t come home with the award - we came home with a reminder just how lucky we are here at Blake’s. Thank you to all our staff who always show up and put their best foot forward, We are so thankful for how you guys have stepped up, we truly couldn’t run this restaurant without you all! Hopefully they consider adding an award for “Consume the most free wine before this finishes” because we won no questions asked, which in my eyes (refer to bottom right picture) is a pretty big accomplishment. 🥂❤️🥇 - Tay 🥰
