We thought we’d take this moment to share again what MORI is.

“MORI” means forest in Japanese, a space to feel calm, recharged, and just a little more at ease. That’s always been what we hoped MORI Coffee could be for people.

And somehow, over this past year… it’s become exactly that. We’re so grateful for our team, and for all of you. Love the familiar faces, the small chats,

Before joining MORI, she ran her own specialty café in Korea, .in_sa.ee, a space built on warmth, connection, and people’s stories.

‘I love the latte at Mori. It has a silky texture and a gentle umami note from the beans. It goes perfectly with the chiffon cake.’ and Olivia certainly delivers our coffee just like that!

She carries with her the idea of “Jeong (정)” - a quiet, heartfelt bond between people. And at MORI, she shares that in the simplest way she knows how… through a cup of coffee.

One of the questions we get asked almost daily is…

“Is there sugar in your matcha?”

Short answer: yes… but only a small amount.

We’ve tested and adjusted the ratio carefully (with help from some very picky matcha lovers 👀), because a touch of sweetness actually helps bring out matcha’s natural umami, especially when using premium quality matcha powder (shout out to our partner .co !)

Our strawberry matcha is a little labour of love too 🍓
We make our strawberry coulis in-house to balance fresh fruit sweetness with earthy matcha. It’s refreshing, creamy, and one of our crowd’s favourites.

If you’ve been curious about matcha, this might be your sign to try one next time you visit us.
