BEAUTY IN THE STRUGGLE

Dedicated to all the mums and mother figures whose quiet strength and unconditional love reveal the beauty in struggle:

For every contraction I endured in labour, your first cry made me forget the pain.

For every sleepless night,I rejoiced in simply spending another day with you.

For every fear I carried,
whether you had eaten enough,
whether you were okay,
whether the world would be kind to you

I cherished every meal shared together, every laugh around the table, every moment beside you.

And every thoughtless word, every mistake,every season of growing I embraced you still.

As you grow older and venture into the world, I silently wish for your happiness.

And even though I cannot protect you from heartbreak, I will still walk beside you through it.

Because there is beauty in struggle.

In the struggle, I discovered strength, not only in me, but in your eyes too.

Together, we walk through life.

That is the beauty of motherhood.

Not everyone sees the tears,the sleepless nights, the worries that pierce through a mother’s heart.

But somehow, through connection, through laughter, through sharing life together, love mends it all over again.

I was thinking about someone today…

Someone who has walked through these doors for years.

Today is Day 12 of Chinese New Year, and I actually love what this day represents.

After all the big gatherings, the rich food, the loud celebrations… Day 12 is when things begin to settle. Traditionally, families start returning to simple meals. It’s about giving the body a rest, resetting, and preparing for the final days of the New Year.

It’s quieter.
More grounded.
More intentional.

And honestly… that’s very “Amor.”
