Welcome Narelle & Melissa, the new owners of Village People.
Narelle is the original founder of the cakery business Confetti Cakes & Creations (14 years ago) and Melissa joined the team a year ago. Melissa has a huge history in hospitality and also had her own cake business. Now, both Narelle & Melissa are business partners and there’s no looking back!

Both of these women will be giving VP a little facelift, but guarantee that the fabulous coffee will return with a new menu and of course the ‘cakery’ aspect added too!

Our courtyard will be filled with all the gorgeous plant & equipment that are not going to the new owners and we can’t take with us.
Christmas decorations, kitchen supplies, homewares, the works! It’s all going to be for sale and it all has to go!!

Come down on SUNDAY MARCH 5TH between 9am-3pm to grab a bargain. It also will be Confetti Cakes & Creations last day of trade from this venue so ensure you pop in and grab a sweet treat until her new premise is signed, sealed and delivered.

Just like that, our gates were locked for the last time on our cafe trading. We have a couple more private events/weddings to get through before settlement with the new owners, along with Confetti Cakes & Creations having another week of trading from our beautiful venue before they move on to their new venue.

😔IT’S TIME TO SAY GOODBYE😔

It’s with a heavy heart and some tears in our eyes that I inform all our wonderful followers and customers that Remuce will be closing its gates for the last time on Sunday the 26th of February.

I, Remi, 6 years ago wanted to make my dream of owning and operating a cafe/function venue a reality. Lucky for me, my mum stumbled across the beautiful property which we know now as Remuce and within 30 days, it was mine. In the 5 years and 8 months we have been trading to the public, we have had many highs, along with the lows of a pandemic and many lockdowns.

I could write for days about my business as it was my first baby, but now it’s time for me to focus on my first human baby and my little family. Running a business is extremely challenging, but those who know me understand that situations and tasks that may challenge me is what I love and thrive on the most. Yet these challenges and daily tasks of being a sole business operator take your energy and mind 24/7. So does my new little man, Chet. My first baby, Remuce, deserves a new owner who can give it love, care and attention that I can no longer give it.

This post is long and emotional, but I just want to say this closure isn’t because the business failed and no comments or rumours need to be started. To put it simply, I have had to reevaluate my life to ensure that my family is well looked after and when we’ve been faced with hard times, it made juggling it all extremely difficult.

There will be further posts thanking many people but for now, this is just to say goodbye and also our plans for those with future bookings and vouchers.

✨ GLUTEN FRIENDLY GOODNESS ✨

Our cooks can cater for your gluten friendly needs! We recommend booking ahead so the kitchen can be prepared to accomodate. However, we still use gluten in other menu items & therefore there may be traces - hence ‘friendly’ and not free! 🥰
