Well…… Many of you would know that I made the decision not to enter either the local or the national business awards this year.

So imagine my surprise β€” and my absolute pride β€” to find out that Craft Brew House has been nominated for the President’s Community Champion Award. ❀️

And this one feels a little different.

It’s not about turnover, growth, marketing or how many beers we pour. 🍺

It’s about community.

The people we’ve supported. The fundraisers. The local groups. The musicians. The friendships made across the bar. The people who’ve walked through our doors as strangers and somehow become part of the Craft family.

Community has never been something we’ve done to win an award. It’s simply what Craft is.

And perhaps that’s why being nominated for this one, without putting ourselves forward, means so bloody much.

To whoever around that Chamber committee table said β€œCraft Brew House” β€” thank you. Genuinely. ❀️

To be standing alongside Bay Island Water Sports and Capalaba Sports Club as one of just three businesses recognised for their contribution to the Redlands community is something Martin and I are incredibly proud of.

We might not have entered the awards this year…

but apparently Craft still found its way there. πŸ₯ΉπŸ»
