After a little break (and a fair bit of work behind the scenes), Little Bay Patisserie is opening its doors again Wednesday 16th September!

The coffee machine will be fired up ☕️
The pastry cabinet will be full again 🥐
And there’s something new waiting for you…

We’ve been busy turning the other half of the shop into our new deli 🛒

We’ve had a lot of fun finding some beautiful products to bring into the shop, and we’re really excited to finally open the doors and let you have a look.

So whether you’re coming in for your usual coffee and pastry, grabbing something for home, or just popping in to see what we’ve been up to — come and say hello!

It’s been a busy few weeks, and we can’t wait to have the Bicheno locals back through the door. ❤️

🍰 We’re Hiring — Pastry Chef

Little Bay Patisserie is looking for a full-time Pastry Chef to join our team in Bicheno!

We’re looking for someone who is confident working independently and takes pride in producing beautiful, delicious pastries and cakes.

Your main responsibilities will include:
🥐 Preparing and baking our viennoiserie each morning
🍰 Making cakes, tarts and other pastry items as required
🧈 Preparing and maintaining consistent, high-quality products
🧹 Keeping your station clean, organised and hygienic
📋 Managing your prep and production independently

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys having responsibility over their own section and wants to be part of a small, growing local business.

What we’re looking for:
• Pastry experience is not essential but would be a +
• Ability to work independently and manage your time
• Good attention to detail and consistency
• Clean, organised and reliable
• Passion for quality pastry and baking

It has been over 8 years since we first posted this photo. It was taken in November 2017 after our first week at Little Bay and we were just so blown away by the support we had received from our beautiful community.

We have been incredibly lucky to have had so many lovely people rally around us and continue to support us through all the highs and lows, from our stumbling beginnings in 2017, the uncharted territory of COVID, through all the laughter and the tears.

We created the space, baked pastries and poured coffees, but it was all of you who made our Little Bay such a truly special place, and for that we cannot thank you enough. Our last day of trade will be next Thursday 30th July - we will have lots of goodies for our final couple of days so please pop in, we would love to see you!

We are so very excited for the next chapter of Little Bay in the capable hands of Tristan and Clare and can’t wait to see their vision come to life.
