A lot of people have been sending this post to us over the last few days, and we wanted to say thank you.

To our wonderful customers who took the time to bring it to our attention, and to the team at BK 2 Basics Melbourne for their incredibly kind words… it genuinely means the world to us

Hospitality has always been about looking after people. Most of the time that happens around our restaurant tables, but every now and then we’re fortunate enough to support organisations doing incredible work throughout our community.

We’re incredibly proud to have been able to contribute in a small way, but the real credit belongs to the volunteers and team members who work tirelessly to support people doing it tough.

Thank you for everything you do, and thank you for allowing us to be a small part of it

We all know of Shanika’s and I bet many of us have eaten at one of their restaurants. Shanika’s are very generously donating pasta sauces to our families. Our elderly communities are loving it as they are so easy to heat up and eat. And nothing beats a hot pasta on a winters day. We would sincerely like to thank Shanika’s for all they do in the community. If you haven’t been for a feed DO IT. It’s the most yummiest food and you will just want to go back and back.

Who remembers when Shanikas Berwick looked like this?

So much has changed over the years. The restaurant has evolved more times than we can count... the murals, the pillars, the layout, the menus, the faces on the floor.

But the heart of it has always stayed the same: great food, genuine service, family, and pride in what we do.

Being part of the Berwick community for so long is something we’ll never take for granted. So many of you have grown up alongside us, celebrated milestones with us, worked with us, or simply made us part of your routine over the years.

After the incredible response to our first TWO Simply Italian Nights selling out in record time… Rob & Nino knew they had to call in backup. So they’ve brought in the big guns: Nigel, Jamie & Damian

Which means we’re excited to announce TWO FINAL Simply Italian Nights:

- Monday 25th May

These will be the final two Simply Italian Nights for the foreseeable future before we press pause on the series and begin focusing on bringing you some brand new Shanikas events
