Apparently they both refused to wear blue.

This Bendigo W**e Week, we’re settling one of hospitality’s great arguments the only sensible way we know how:
Eat four courses and drink eight drinks.
Representing Team B**r: Bendigo Brewing, Brewers Collective & Cornella.
Representing Team W**e: some very confident Bendigo w**emakers.

Each course gets one w**e and one b**r.
You taste. You judge. You vote.

No w**e snobbery. No b**r bellies required. And anyone claiming to detect “pencil shavings on a wet forest floor” may be asked to explain themselves.

One of our favourite food-and-booze battles is back at The Dispensary for Bendigo W**e Week.
📅 Sunday 11 October | 1pm

The premise is beautifully simple.

Our kitchen creates four delicious courses.

For every dish, Team W**e chooses a Bendigo w**e they reckon is the perfect match. Team B**r fires back with a Bendigo brew.
Then BOTH land on your table.
🍷 W**e in one hand.

🍺 B**r in the other.
🍽️ Food in front of you.

Taste the dish. Try both matches. Listen to each side plead their case. Argue with your table. Mark your scorecard.
YOU decide who wins each round.
Will the w**emakers prove that w**e b
elongs at the dinner table?

Or will Bendigo’s brewers knock them off their perch?
Expect four courses, four Bendigo w**es and four Bendigo b**rs, plenty of stories, a little friendly sledging and absolutely no sitting quietly pretending you can smell pencil shavings.
After four rounds, we tally the votes and crown the:
🏆 2026 W**E vs B**R CHAMPION
And if you discover something you love along the way, selected featured w**es and b**rs will be available to purchase after the battle.
