We just wanted to let you all know that the shop will be closed tomorrow; Wednesday 14th of January, to farewell Donna’s Dad Pat, who recently passed.
Please come in and support her by making a purchase on the other days we are open this week.
For anyone that knew Pat, the funeral is at the Muskerry Church at 10:30am tomorrow. We know he will be up in the stars sharing all his stories with others, including his recently passed wife Ruth.

A huge thank you to some special helpers today: Thalia and Hannah and a thank you to all the people that come to support our small business by visiting the store today.

Donna will be away today attending her Mum’s funeral so we want to help show her some support and show her that the shop can still run and survive in her absence ♥️

Ok let’s play a game..
I’m going to get into so much trouble for this!

For those that don’t know, I’m Decinta, Donna’s daughter. I help put up the posts here to support Mum’s business. For all of my life (not going to give away my age here), mum has hated photos.
She’s always been a hard worker, has always been able to do so much more with her time than others and has never stopped!
She’s always been there to help others and support people in a variety of ways.

So back to the photo situation.

Since having the Holdsworth Road Milkbar, mum has had to get out of her comfort zone and put herself out there a few times to help the community become aware of her business and to encourage people to come in. She’s been in the paper a few times and even on the local news. Although nervous and stressed about it, she stood tall, had a laugh and got it done because she is proud of what she has created and loves cooking amazing food for locals and travellers. Sometimes it’s even a race as to how quickly she can get your food prepped and out to you- beating the fast food drive thru wait times in a flash.

So what I thought I would do is put a photo up here of her again. This one was taken recently by a lovely lady who came in to promote the service as part of Facebook posts about local Milkbars.

So today… when you come in to the shop perhaps make a comment to mum about liking the photo, but give nothing away. Whilst she’s racing around making coffees, wraps, slow cooked rolls, hamburgers, muffins etc- let’s see how long it is before she notices I have put this photo back up hehe.

So who’s with me in not only supporting the small family business today but also having a laugh with Mum?

We are OPEN TODAY until around lunch time so please come in and show us that opening on a public holiday is worth it 🤪😉 ...
