Due to unforeseen circumstances, the bar and kitchen will be closed tonight.

We’re sorry for the late change and really appreciate your understanding. ❤️

But before we turn the lights out on another week… what a week it’s been.

One very generous local quietly paid forward 10 Community Dinners and, with a little help from all of you, every single one found a home. ❤️

Then we found ourselves behind the microphone recording three brand-new Beaufort Hotel radio ads. 🎙️

Jilly lent her voice to two, Cheryl joined in for another and we’ve had a bit of fun putting something new together.

𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗘… 𝗢𝗥 𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗕𝗘 𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗜𝗧. 😉📻

Then came the public holiday, Happy Hour, weekend specials and one very big weekend of footy. 🏉🍻

And congratulations to the Brisbane Lions on taking home the flag! 🏆🦁

So yes, we’re calling That’s All Folks a little earlier than expected tonight.

𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗘𝗧𝗟𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗗. ❤️

A couple of weeks ago, one of our lovely locals came into the Beaufort Hotel and handed over 𝗦𝟮𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝟭𝟬 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀.

He didn’t want recognition.
He didn’t want his name mentioned.

He simply wanted to 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 and make sure ten meals found their way to people in our community who might appreciate a little kindness right now.

And now, 𝘄𝗲’𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽. ❤️

Maybe you know someone who’s doing it a little tough. Someone who has had a rough few weeks. An elderly neighbour living alone. A family with a lot on their plate. Or simply someone who could really use the surprise of knowing that 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳.

The meal can be enjoyed here at the pub or taken away. No fuss. No spotlight. Just a Community Dinner, already paid for by someone who wanted to do something good.

This one is for the people behind the scenes.

Deb and Andy took a well deserved little break this week, leaving Sunday and returning to the bar Friday.

While they were away, 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁, Mimi kept the kitchen humming and led the crew beautifully, and the rest of our wonderful team simply got on with doing what they do best. ❤️

And what a week to do it. ☀️

Beaufort turned on some glorious spring weather and by Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗸𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆!

Meals flying out of the kitchen.
Cold drinks across the bar.
Tables full of conversation and laughter.

Exactly how we like our local to feel. ❤️

Looks like Luna & Rosie have found the best spot in the house to call it a week. 🔥

And after another busy one at The Beaufort Hotel, we might just join them.

Thank you to everyone who walked through our doors this week. For the meals shared, the drinks poured, the laughs across the bar and the familiar faces that make this old pub feel like home.

We say it often, but we mean it…

a pub is only as good as the people who fill it.

We’re putting our feet up tomorrow and we’ll be back Tuesday, ready to do it all again.
