If it seems like we’ve taken out a page from Lewis Carroll’s most celebrated work, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, we actually did! Our story began in May 2015, when we hosted a month-long high tea over the weekends as a participant of Cancer Council Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. With a rented tent, and a few tables and chairs, we couldn’t believe we actually sold out each high tea session! We received so many compliments and so many hints from our patrons to make this an ongoing thing. That’s what got us thinking and dreaming, and one day, the White Rabbit showed up to show us the way into the rabbit hole where we obligingly followed. Two years after, on the very unremarkable day of the 23rd of March 2017, we jumped into this wild and wonderful adventure we’ve called The Hatter & the Hare. With a team of curious characters, every day we welcome our local patrons offering something new, something unique, something whimsical. With a menu that changes at every turn of the season, a wide array of creative and colourful desserts, and a growing list of services on offer, we see no end to this journey just yet! So come along on the journey with us! Visit us for a casual meal or drink, or hire us out for your private or public function, or have us cater your informal or formal teas. We’ll make sure each time, you get a piece of wonderland to take away with you.
