Thank you and farewell.
We've had a wonderful time the last two and a half years at the helm of Old Lira. It's been an absolute pleasure to get to know so many of our regulars, and share our passion for food and engage in plenty of great conversations.
Whilst we are contemplating our futures and taking a break, we encourage you to please support other local independently owned small businesses. The five places we've posted about over the last few days are a great start. The passion and care that they put into each of their products is without question.
Small business is the backbone of the Australian economy, and statistics show small business provides more employment opportunities than big business and government, combined. We need to make sure we support them regularly.
A huge thank you again to our employees, both past and present. Thanks also to our suppliers who provided fresh and delicious ingredients, and to our great landlord who was always supportive.
Love and thanks to the other local Basso hospitality businesses, many of whom we've become friends with. The community and support here is fantastic.
Lastly, thanks to you, our beautiful customers. Without your support, we wouldn't have been here for the time we were. We loved sharing great food and being of service to you.
