Whats on my mind?
My staff go to work, and do an amazing job. 99.8% of you appreciate the s**t out of us, and we love you. The smiles we see on an individual, a couple, a FAMILY, a bunch of mates - is priceless.
Then there is the .1 percent that I quote "cannot stand the diabolical wait for food", especially on a Friday night, when the wait time can be up and over an hour. When I look for places to eat, if there isn't a crowd - I am not going there. I want to be waiting.
But wait there is the .1 percent, like Ray, who hide behind fake accounts - and trash us. "Raise prices by up to 10%, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE." "Ill go to another venue, and pay 20 cents cheaper for a drink. Charge $6 for a 1.25, WHAT A JOKE"
I'm a business owner Ray, I have to keep our business going. We've shut 2, maybe 3 afternoons in the past 2 years. Out of 730 days, thats a pretty good record. "Can't run a business, raising prices to keep shutting early". Actually Ray, 12 years the shop has been open. 7 days a week, 10 hours a day. We are raising prices to keep up with the price of inflation.
Now your energy provider, water provider, gas provider, landlord, council, mechanic, local grocer have raised prices and the only difference between us and them is we announce it, they send you a letter out and we put it on our one method of communication that we know can reach people. But I am sure you send your letter in the mail, voicing your opinion.
Anyway, thanks to you Ray, Facebook has this awesome AI moderation tool that allows me to automatically disallow trolls like you commenting. I am not saying that I discourage feedback - the best criticism is constructive criticism. I am saying that if you do want to call me out - maybe come and do it in store or better yet, use your real account.
