We're back sharing the love for another venue we adore on the south coast!

Terrara House Weddings & Events is something truly special. This historic filigree mansion is set on manicured grounds in the heart of the Shoalhaven, with foundations dating back to 1860. Just 15 minutes from Berry and 20 minutes from Jervis Bay, the location is ideal (and is surrounded by green pastures, with highland cows!!).

We recently had the privilege of hosting our own tasting day here, which always reminds us why we love it so much. Divine.

To the team at Terrara House, thank you for being such wonderful humans to share this industry with. Here's to many more celebrations together!

We're looking for a talented Chef to join the Bumpy Road Catering team on the NSW South Coast, and this is not your average kitchen job.

Think lavish wedding feasts, intimate dinner parties, food festivals from our retro vans, gelato carts and pop-ups. No two days look the same, and that's exactly the point. We work with incredible local produce, stunning South Coast venues, and a team that genuinely loves what they do.

We book out at least six months in advance, run a minimum of two weddings per week plus multiple other events, and have strong relationships with venues across the region. This is a thriving, community-focused business with real career progression.

What the role looks like:
A 38 hour week across 4-5 days, with approximately 1-2 evening events per week. A modern kitchen where your culinary creativity is genuinely valued. A people-first culture where great food and good vibes go hand in hand.

What we're looking for:
Cert III in Commercial Cookery, a natural team leader who can train and elevate those around them, someone who thinks on their feet and takes pride in consistent, quality food.

They say we humans eat with our eyes first, and that's why our tasty little pre-dinner morsels look like this 😍

The grilled lamb kofta arrives in what looks like a rather interesting carry bag. Our vegetarian rice paper rolls are nestled in a bamboo steamer. And our sundried tomato and pesto arancini rolls up on a bed of rocket and parmesan.

Canapes that people love to eat. That's it, that's the goal. Did we nail it?
