Slow-cooked lamb, rich pepperberry jus and winter vegetables made for sharing. 🍷🌿

Chef Ben Dowling from Tulum Store brings together some beautiful Mornington Peninsula ingredients in this slow-cooked lamb shoulder with honey-glazed celeriac, Romanesco cauliflower, spinach, basil and pistachio pesto, finished with a Shiraz and Tasmanian pepperberry jus.

At the heart of the dish is lamb shoulder from Torello Farm, slowly cooked with Old Man Sun Shiraz until tender, alongside celeriac and Romanesco cauliflower from the Odell Brothers in Pearcedale and local honey from Pure Peninsula Honey.

It’s the kind of recipe that rewards a little time in the kitchen: generous, comforting and designed to arrive at the centre of the table for everyone to share.

Pour a glass of Shiraz, carve the lamb into generous pieces and let the sauce do the rest.

Unfortunately we’ve received a notification that we’ll be affected by a planned power outage this Wednesday. We’ll be closed between the estimated outage time between 8am-1.30pm.

An umami bomb in every sense. 🍜✨

Created by Chef Ben Dowling from Tulum Store, this generous winter dish brings together some of the region’s most distinctive local ingredients.

Fresh egg noodles made with Tuerong Farm flour and Lil's Yolky Dokey Eggs are tossed through a rich, aromatic sauce of ginger, chilli, garlic, smoked kelp and butter, then topped with golden oyster mushrooms from Mushroom Forestry.

A hit of Southern Seagreens Disco Jam, fresh saltbush and finely shaved Flinders Truffles bring even more depth to this generous winter dish.

Make the noodles from scratch or use fresh local pasta when time is short. Either way, the result is deeply savoury, warming and well worth gathering around the table for.
