The Black Hill Hotel is your friendly neighbourhood bar & bistro. Just minutes from Ballarat’s CBD, the Black Hill has ample off street parking and can easily accommodate tradies utes. It is cosy and warm in winter and comfortably cool in summer. A beer garden provides a great place to enjoy the outdoors undercover. A function room is available for birthdays, business meetings or major family get

togethers. Originally named “The Royal Oak”, the hotel was established in 1864, to cater to the needs of the miners at the nearby Black Hill mine. Much smaller when first built, several additions have seen it reach its current size and format. The Black Hill Hotel is proud to be "the local" for people in and around the neighbourhood and welcomes guests from across Ballarat and the wider world. We look forward to seeing you there.
