RESTAURANT MANAGER
The Riversleigh | Bairnsdale, Victoria
Full Time | $90,000 per annum + superannuation
The Riversleigh is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our restaurant and front-of-house operation in the heart of Bairnsdale.
Set within one of East Gippsland’s most beautiful boutique hotels, The Riversleigh combines historic character with contemporary accommodation, dining, events and genuine country hospitality.
Our restaurant is entering an exciting period of growth, and we’re looking for an experienced hospitality professional who can take ownership of the operation, lead the team and deliver the warm, polished service our guests expect.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on Restaurant Manager position. You’ll be on the floor with your team, leading service while taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and motivating the front-of-house team
- Delivering consistently excellent guest experiences
- Managing restaurant service and daily floor operations
- Training and developing team members
- Maintaining presentation and service standards
- Working closely with the kitchen and hotel General Manager
- Managing stock, beverage service and restaurant controls
- Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally
- Helping grow the restaurant and build a strong local following
- Supporting functions, events and other food and beverage activity within the hotel
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and understands what great restaurant service looks like.
Previous restaurant management or senior hospitality leadership experience is essential.
You’ll ideally bring strong leadership and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, sound food and beverage knowledge and the ability to create a positive culture while maintaining high standards.
A current Victorian RSA is required.
HOURS
This is a full-time position averaging approximately 45 hours per week, with a roster designed to provide genuine consistency:
Wednesday – Saturday: Approximately 11:00am – 9:00pm
Sunday: Approximately 11:00am – 3:00pm
Monday & Tuesday: Off
Hours may vary occasionally around functions, events and business requirements.
SALARY & ACCOMMODATION
$90,000 per annum + superannuation
For the right candidate relocating to Bairnsdale, staff accommodation may also be available, making this an excellent opportunity for someone considering a move to East Gippsland.
