After 10 successful ZOOM literary sittings, Urdu International Australia organised its first in-person Nishist today (Sunday 11 October 2020) at Bar-B-Q Tonight, Auburn, that was limited to 20 people only. Riffat Islam Siddiqui, the visiting poet from Pakistan was the chief guest and Dr Shabbir Haider was the Chair. New books arrived in Sydney were discussed by Dr Baqar Raza, Shahid Kyani and Ashraf Shad. A tribute was paid to poet Louise Glück for winning the 2020 Nobel Prize for literature. Huma Mirza read her article base on her quarantine experience upon her return from Pakistan. In the end, poetry was recited by Riffat I.Siddiqui, Dr Shabbir Haider, Sadiq Arif, Ashraf Shad, Farogh Zaidi, Farhat Iqbal, Dr Yasmeen Shad, Md Ali Bukhari and Shahid Malik Deewana. Ashraf Shad was the moderator.
