SATURDAY SOCIAL CLUB x Barton Estate Wines

Started by two CSIRO scientists, Bob (son of a Wollongong steelworker) and Julie (daughter of a WA wheat farmer) turned their love of wine into a vineyard of their own.

20 acres nestled in the historic Jeir Valley 📍 Murrumbateman, growing the classics: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Shiraz; alongside their experiments: Sangiovese and all five Bordeaux varieties, including Petit Verdot, unique in the Canberra District. They were told they were mad. We’re glad they didn’t listen. 🍇
