The VBG Art Prize returns for 2026.

Now in its fourth year, the prize continues to grow, bringing together artists, community, and culture as part of the SALA Festival.

Inspired by the iconic Willi’s Wine Bar in Paris, we’re looking for bold, original poster art reflecting food, wine, and place.

All entries will be exhibited at Yalumba this August.
Expressions of interest are now open.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Melbourne Cup yesterday.

Your energy, style and laughter made this event truly unforgettable. From the first glass of Champagne Pol Roger to the last dance with DJ Mark Kamleh, we had a blast celebrating with you all. It wouldn’t have been the same without you.

We hope you enjoyed the four-course feast, the sweepstakes, and Sam Hayes’ expert tips, and of course, we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Join us for the best seat off the track this Melbourne Cup 🥂

On Tuesday, November 4, VBG will serve Champagne Pol Roger on arrival, a four-course shared feast, and all the race-day fun without leaving the Barossa.

Nick Stock and Mark Kamleh will host the event, featuring special guest Samy Hayes sharing his live form guide. There will also be sweepstakes, a big screen, and a live DJ to keep the energy high.

Congratulations to Emily Hay, winner of this year’s VBG Art Prize!

Now in its third year, the competition continues to grow and the 2025 shortlist of six local artists was our strongest yet.

Emily’s work resonated with the judges and was chosen for its creativity, craftsmanship, and connection to place.

Thank you to everyone who entered and joined us last night to celebrate the Barossa’s vibrant art scene. The bar keeps lifting every year and we love seeing where it goes next.

All artworks will be displayed at Yalumba throughout August as part of the SALA Festival. Be sure to stop by and enjoy a glass of Yalumba’s finest while viewing Barossa’s up and coming artists.

The VBG Art Prize is back, and we’re calling all local artists to be part of something uniquely Barossa.

Whether it’s the vineyard skyline, the smell of woodsmoke in winter, or a long lunch with friends, we want to see what inspires you.
