At Pier 71 Bar e Cucina we pride ourselves on preparing our dishes using traditional Italian methods. Our pizza dough is made from the same flour used in the finest pizzerias in Italy and is hand-stretched by our Pizzaiolo. Combining tradition with technology, we use a wood-fired, stone-base rotating oven, imported directly from Italy, making it one of only a handful of its kind in Australia. Our

pizzas are baked at 400 degrees Celsius ensuring even cooking throughout. Our fresh ingredients are sourced from local suppliers, to create traditional Italian favourites on our menu including delicious pasta, risotto and antipasto, mouth-watering desserts and pastries and of course, the signature stone oven pizzas. Pier 71 Bar e Cucina is available to book for private functions and regularly hosts live music events and has a sunny, smoke-free rear courtyard, best enjoyed with a glass of vino and good company.

Tomorrow we celebrate the incredible dads in our lives. For me, it’s this guy right here.

Thank you for the sacrifices we probably didn’t understand when we were younger. For the laughs, the advice, the lessons, the traditions and all those little moments that didn’t seem like much at the time, but mean so much more as we get older. Thank you for working hard, for always wanting the best for us and for giving your two girls a lifetime of memories.

We need our community for this one. ❤️

From August 31, Pier Street will be closed to traffic for approximately 12 weeks while council works are carried out.

Running a small business isn't easy at the best of times, and right now, business is tough. Add a 12-week road closure outside your front door into the mix and, yep, we're a little worried about the impact it's going to have.

But one thing we really want everyone to know is... WE ARE STILL OPEN.

Pedestrian access to Pier Street will remain open, so you can still come in for your morning coffee, grab some lunch, join us for dinner, pick up a takeaway or spend an afternoon with us. You might have to park around the corner. You might have to walk that little bit further. And we're asking you, if you can, please do.
Pier 71 is a family-run business and we absolutely love being part of this community. We've celebrated your birthdays, watched your families grow, gotten to know our regulars and made some pretty wonderful friends along the way.

For the next 12 weeks, we're asking you to keep showing up. Not just for us, but for all the surrounding businesses who are going to feel the impact of these works. The road might be closed, but Pier Street is still very much open for business.

And we really hope we'll still see you.

On the weekend our friends LUCY IN THE SKY boutique held a flower making workshop at Pier 71.

A sold out room, lots of laughs and plenty of very impressive bouquets heading home by the end of it.

Pier 71 kept everyone fed and it was such a beautiful afternoon.
