Folks!

We’re kicking off again with our very enjoyable Friday Pizza Kitchen from 5-8pm this week, 10th of July!

This is our opportunity to make some awesome pizza and a bunch of desserts we wouldn’t normally make for the day time.

We’ve got some old favourites and a couple of new ones we’re excited about, plus an option to luxury with some fresh black truffle - limited servings until it goes as it was freshly delivered this week.

Weather may be grim today but there’s so many lovely warm things at The Bakery this morning.

In a bid to keep up with the crazy demand we’ve been seeing this year we’re expanding our savoury range with a lamb, mint and pea pastie as well as an exclusive camel and date sausage roll, thanks to our awesome local butcher Milner Meats. We also have our potato topped kangaroo Shepherds pie, cheese and leek and ham and cheese croissants and as much of the usual bread and pastries as we can possibly manage!

I’d say come and beat the queue but it’s started already. Happy Saturday!

We are so so proud of Jasper the Apprentice winning Gold at the World Skills NT Regional Baking Competition today!

He qualifies now for the national competition held next year in Adelaide. World Skills National Championships is the biggest vocational educational and excellence comp in Australia

He’s come so far since he joined us as a teenager, professionally and personally and we’re all really chuffed to see him excel. Officially NT’s best bakers apprentice! Well done Jasper ❤️👊🫡

More lovely local fruits on display today with these beautiful star fruit grown just a stones throw away from The Bakery, thanks heaps Graham!

We’ve got star fruit custard tarts with another locally grown bush lime jelly and bush lime pearls on top, and a star fruit & passionfruit cheesecake.

Also lots of eclairs, choux puff, zeppole, and heaps more.

There’s some lovely fruits in season right now! We’ve poached a whole load of quince and made some quince crumble pies which are in the warmer, there’s also a choux puff with quince and a quince and apple compote.

Also fresh lime meringue tarts with curd from local limes, another date and dulce de leche cheesecake with local dates, and a lot of nice looking pastry in the cabinet.

Also fair warning, we are having a really tough time getting a hold of spelt flour at the moment so we are going through the last of what we have in the next couple of weeks. Apologies in advance if we have to put a hold on this for a while.

Some more lovely date and dulce de leche cheesecake, date and pistachio choux puffs and heaps more other things.

We’re also cooking pizza out at the Steiner Fair today on Ragonesi Road, 10am-2pm so if you play it right you can do breakfast at the Bakery and Pizza for lunch at the fair! It’s always a great gathering and the sky has cleared so we hope to see you there!
