Forrealearthworks completed all the Earthworks, Path & driveway prep, landscaping prep and supply of materials at the new Soul House Social Club.

Lucas and the crew went above and beyond with the delivery of this project.

Everything was easy and honest from the start, and the workmanship speaks for itself.

Soul House Social Club will be in High Court against Onkaparinga Council on November 25th 2025.

We have not been able to work through the councils Change of use for the land Soul House Social club is on. Even though we have clearly shown that the Sale, Lease, Rates and Everything within the previous business is Commercial.

So the fight continues.

Very sad that we are still forced to stay closed due to a Change of Use, that nobody can tell us any information about. This means we cannot open as a venue that plays music. Even though music is a very small part of what we are offering here at Soul House. Instead of giving us a level to work to, that everyone is happy with, it’s a blanket No. So, we can have 100 people Choir singing here, but not 1 person on a keyboard plugged into a speaker. So a very frustrating and ancient approach by the council. We have asked multiple times about Music monitors and a Live Music plan, but it’s a No.

We continue to fight for this space to be enjoyed by All. We will not stop.

Quick update!

Very busy behind the scenes but now have a date in Court against Onkaparinga council.

The date is July 22nd.

This court case will be to go over councils decision to make Commerciall land Rural, without notication or discussion. And stop Soul House Social Club from opening as a family friendly, Food, music and wellness space.

With the huge amount of infrastructure currently being developed and planned for Aldinga & surrounds, you would think a Family friendly Venue, thats gives locals and tourists a a place to visit to enjoy Local Musicians, Local Food, Local beers, wines & spirits, local produce would be 100% supported by the council. But this is certainly not the case. We have found out from many of the amazing local businesses we have down here in Aldinga. There is little or No support provided, only continuous hurdles put in place, without any procedural or council guidelines being referenced or adhered to.

It’s very sad that still, after 4 months of hard work and 100% complete upgrades to all aspects of the business, not one council representative has been to the Soul House to look at what has been created. Still referencing old issues and problems in paperwork and in response to interested parties. When they have all been Completed to comply with Australian standards.

We continue to work towards opening this amazing space for you all to enjoy.

All,

Council have said the land has changed from Commercial to rural. But there has been No notification of this. Or No Code or clauses referenced.

The goal posts continue to be moved and no clear and concise evidence has been provided. We continue to complete all council correspondence with council.

We are working on being open as soon as possible. But they need to know how much everyone locally needs this place to open. Can we contact local counsellors for support? What else can we do to get this moving?

This is really all a big silly game for no reason at all. It’s very sad that local council do not support small businesses from the start. This needs to change. This really should be a fun and enjoyable process when people are following through on a dream. A space that only promotes positivity in the community. Where all are welcomed. But it’s smoke and mirrors everywhere.

40 plus employees locally now not working here.

There are multiple routes to take. Any support and or advice welcomed. But we keep pushing.

Announcement:

All,

It is with tired & heavy hearts that we must announce that Soul House Social Club will not be Open for our private event this Saturday May 3rd or Not open until we work through the obstacles that have appeared from complete left field Monday afternoon.

We have been working around the clock to create a venue for the locals of Aldinga & surrounding areas to use & enjoy with there friends and family.

To make this 100% clear:

We are Not The Pepper Tree. We are Soul House Social Club. Two very different businesses.

We are a family friendly venue that 100% does Not want to create any issues or concerns for local residents, local community or local business. We are committed to working with All on a very open and transparent future. And supporting the area grow.

We are not a nightclub or late night bar. We do not want to be or be known as anything like that.

We are first and foremost a family friendly venue. Community space. Where families can come and relaxed in a secure & safe environment with there children to enjoy local food and drinks. Whilst supporting local music smaller events.

The Onkaparinga council remain open to working with Soul House Socail Club on having this space accessible to the public.

The space has been re-built to ensure compliance. Sound proofing, re-wiring, plumbing, new children’s play area, over 500 plants planted.

We hope any & all who want to support our journey to being able to open this space for the community can get behind us here and finally create and clear and constructive way of having All of community heard on the positives, rather than the very few negatives.

We are Open and here to communicate our business plan to any who would like to listen.

We are 100% committed to this beautiful area and having you all here soon.

Bands & Musicians!!

Trying to work through all the messages and emails regarding music bookings.

Soul House Social Club is here to promote & support all types of music and local talent.

All ticket sales will go to the artist. With a joint promotion and any help required from us here at Soul House.

Friday nights will be open for smaller bands, duos and single performers. If the artists can sell tickets based on their experience, this would be an ideal starting point to play. Or, provide a quote to play for a designated time.

Saturday nights will be for bigger bands, duos and single performers. This includes Dj’s and any alternative entertainment. This includes Karaoke, Comedy nights etc.

Sundays we would like to support up and coming artists get a foot up on the ladder of live performance.

If you are interested in playing here, can you please send an email (Sorry to all who have already sent!) to us on the email below with the heading of your preferred night of play, amount of tickets you would be comfortable selling 50+ or 100+ or a quote for your fees to perform.

I will be booking all bands for May, June & July over the next 2 weeks.

Hopefully this makes sense! Trying to find an easy way of booking in bands and getting them the most amount of support possible.
