Adelaide garlic bread reviews

Hello again garlic bread lovers of Adelaide👋

I apologize for being a little quiet lately but I’m back and this time flying solo.

I had the pleasure of going to the Aldinga Hotel today and I’m glad I went. The renovations since last time I was there are very nice but they have still managed to keep some of the old character of the building, it’s a nice mix of new and old.

Today I had the garlic bread and also the scotch fillet.

The bread was perfect, it was hot, soft and airy with a nice crust which wasn’t messy, maybe one of the best breads so far👌
There was also plenty of butter and garlic and the taste was very balanced, I got bits of garlic but also little pockets of salty butter which was very nice.

The steak was also amazing, perfectly cooked to medium-rare with plenty of char grilled flavor and a fantastic red wine jus.
The bacon and onion jam ontop was nice but maybe had a little too much on there and it occasionally overpowered the flavor of the meat.

I cannot fault today, I’m glad this is my first review for a while as it’s an absolute must for anyone down south or if you want an excuse to go for a Sunday drive.

Our first review of 2022
We have just returned home from a family holiday to the eyre peninsula.
And what else do you do when you are in one of the best known seafood locations in south Australia, but eat fresh local seafood🤤
No garlic bread to review here but couldn’t let this go unknown.

We had the king George whiting and also the salt and pepper calamari with prawns.

Cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth calamari, as fresh as you can get prawns and the whitest and flakiest fish I’ve ever had.
Chips were also golden and crunchy with the right amount of salt and a lemon wedge plus tartare sauce if that’s what you’re into🤷‍♂️

An absolute must if you are traveling to the area.
10/10 for both the fish pack and the calamari prawn pack. Will definitely be hard to find seafood as fresh and tasty as this🙌👏👏👏

P.S they also have a good little shop for kitchenware and more importantly they have dog treats which we got for our doggo, she loves the shark cartilage treats we got her

Here we go people, our very first non garlic bread review, and to be honest this food was why I wanted to expand our reviews.
Friday night me and junior had a boys night in while Mrs garlic bread had a girls night out.
We ordered a RG BBQ box and some onion rings.
As an amateur meat smoker I’ll say that I’m hard to please.
The meat had a nice smoke ring, the brisket fell apart, the pulled pork nachos were👌 but the chicken wing was the thing that made me go wow 🤩 this was the tastiest piece of chicken I’ve had. I can’t review the sausage because junior ate that. Yes a nearly 2 year old absolutely destroyed the link sausage and ate a fair amount of pulled pork nachos.

A great meal at decent price from a friendly small business.
We will definitely be back for more smoked meat in the future👏👏👏

Hello garlic bread l😍vers, I do apologize for the break between our last post to now.

We stopped off for lunch at the woodside hotel. I will admit I wasn’t expecting much but the old saying is true, never judge a book by its cover.

We ordered the garlic flat bread with cheese as junior is obsessed with cheese 🧀

We were served with an amazing cheesy, garlicky, buttery goodness. So much flavor and a nice surprise was the ham. The bread was also great, it had a soft center with a super crunchy base.

On a side note, we ordered junior a toasted ham and cheese sandwich for lunch, much to our surprise the butter they used on the toastie was garlic butter👌
We do this at home when we make toasties but never have we bought one that has garlic butter on it.

Well, here is our last review of 2020. It has been a while between reviews but after eating way too much garlic bread in 2020 my clothes started to feel a little too tight😂 so I’ve been “trying” to eat a bit healthier.

Tonight we had the opportunity to try a regional garlic bread. We were given a generous serve of bread, the bread itself was crunchy on the outside but still extremely soft and fluffy on the inside. The garlic butter ratio was also very good with a good amount of garlic 🧄
Overall a very impressive garlic bread. This definitely exceeded my expectations and even more impressive was the fact the restaurant was very busy with families dining during set times.
