Soil Land Food are running their Reboot My Soil online course again this July — and if you've been wanting to properly get on top of your soils but never quite found the right starting point, this is the one.

Six Wednesday evenings. Online. 7:30–9pm so you're not giving up a day off the farm.

Led by David Hardwick — one of Australia's most experienced agroecologists — you'll walk away knowing how to read your own soil tests, assess and benchmark your soils, and build a real action plan for your place.

🌱Wednesdays 15 July – 19 August 2026
🌱 7:30pm – 9:00pm AEST | Online via Zoom
🌱 https://zurl.co/WMt2h

Still 6 weeks away — but this course fills fast and is capped at just 10 farm businesses. Worth getting in early.

Bought-in fertiliser costs keep going up. But what you've already got on farm — manure, stubble, organic waste — that doesn't cost you a thing extra.

The gap between a compost pile that does nothing and one that genuinely feeds your soil is knowing how to make it properly. That's what this course teaches.

Soil Land Food's Making Compost on Farm is a four-week online course this June — practical, low-cost, and designed for farmers in Australian conditions.

🌱 1 June – 29 June 2026 | Mon evenings 7:30pm AEST | Online

Spots are limited — worth getting in early.

Making Compost on Farm

What if the best fertiliser on your farm is already sitting right there — you just haven't made it yet? It actually builds your soil biology.
Soil Land Food's Making Compost on Farm online course is back this June, and it's built around one idea: low-cost methods that any farmer can do on their own place.

🌱 Monday 1 June – 29 June 2026
🌱 7:30pm – 9:00pm AEST each session
🌱 Online — no travel, no full-day commitment

You'll learn how to:
🪱 Make quality compost with what's already on your farm
🪱 Keep costs low without cutting corners
🪱 Get the biology right so it works in your soil
🪱 Apply it for real, lasting impact

Four Monday evenings.

Reboot Your Farm for farmers in the Atherton Tablelands. Our Simon Mattsson delivered the 1st workshop on Soils.

We enjoyed the sunshine in Malanda last Thursday for the first of three face to face Reboot Your Farm sessions with Soil Land Food and Wet Tropics Soil Care Inc - WETS. Simon Mattsson talked us through the difference between soil health and soil fertility, when to test, how to test, and what the results can tell us. We learned more about compaction, enterprise diversity, reducing input costs while maintaining production, adapting to implement ideas - and so much more! Looking forward to the next session in June.

July is closer than it looks.

If you've been sitting on the fence about the Making Bioferts on Farm online course — now's the time to lock it in.

This is practical, evening-based learning (7:30–9pm AEST) that won't pull you off the farm. And you'll walk away knowing how to brew your own biofertilisers and cultures right there on your place.

Spots are limited.

Just a heads up — only 2 spots left in the Reboot My Soil online course starting 4 May. 🌱

This is a small group program — max 10 farm businesses — so everyone gets time to ask questions, go through their soil tests, share what's happening on their place, and actually work through their own soil challenges with David Hardwick and Simon Mattsson from Soil Land Food.

Over 6 Monday morning sessions (8:30–10am AEST) you'll learn how to:

🌱 Read and understand your soil tests properly
🌱 Assess and benchmark your soil health
🌱 Build a soil action plan tailored to your farm
🌱 Explore practical regen solutions for your enterprise

Whether you're in cropping, grazing, dairying or horticulture — if your soil has been holding you back, this is where you start turning that around.

Sessions are recorded so you won't miss it if life gets in the way.

🌱 Mondays 4 May – 8 June 2026 | 8:30am AEST | Online via Zoom
