We’ve got two great regattas coming up in Port Denison Sailing Club, Bowen , and we’d love to see plenty of WSC sailors out there representing the Club!

A weekend of racing for all classes of dinghies, catamarans, windsurfers & foiling, including Green Fleet.
Perfect for sailors of all levels to get some regatta experience, have fun and spend a weekend on the water.

🏆 QLD Optimist State Championship
📅 27–28 November
📍 Port Denison Sailing Club, Bowen
A big one for our Optimist sailors, with the chance to race against some of Queensland’s best young sailors and represent Whitsunday Sailing Club.

Our Festival Village is back. And so is your excuse to spend the afternoon by the water. 🌅

For Airlie Beach Festival of Music , the waterfront comes alive with live music, cold drinks, good people and that very specific festival energy that makes you want to stay for “just one more song”.

With 60+ acts across 15 venues from 6–8 November, Airlie Beach becomes one big music playground, and the Festival Village at the Whitsunday Sailing Club is right at the heart of it.

Our WSC juniors headed to Keppel Bay Sailing Club for Zhik Youth Sail Queensland, competing against some of the best young sailors in the state, and came home with some seriously impressive results.

We’re especially proud to celebrate some fantastic results:

Our Adult Learn to Sail – Start Sailing 1 & 2 course is back for Term 4!

Learn the basics of sailing, get out on the water and enjoy the social side of the sport. It’s a great way to meet people and discover a new way to enjoy the Whitsundays.

🏇 The race that stops the nation deserves a proper celebration.

We’re bringing the Melbourne Cup to the Club for two days of racing, good food, drinks, big bids and even bigger bragging rights. 🍾

First up, Monday night — get your syndicate together and join us for our Calcutta Auction from 6:30pm, with Paul Skinner behind the hammer. Pick your horse, place your bids and see how lucky you can get.
Even better, 20% of funds raised will go to Whitsunday Su***de Prevention, with the remaining funds split between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters on Cup Day.

Then on Tuesday, it’s time to dress up, settle in and enjoy Melbourne Cup Day by the water. Our Luncheon kicks off from 11am, with a three-course lunch, three-hour drinks package and all the race-day atmosphere for $200pp.

Come for the auction. Come for the luncheon. Or, naturally, do both.
