We are incredibly proud to celebrate local community member James Burnell, whose passion for kindness is making an impact far beyond South Australia.
James is one of only four Australian Champions of Kindness™ and Ambassadors for Kindness Worldwide, an impactful global non-profit organisation with a vision to create a culture of kindness in communities throughout the world. Inspired by a simple act of kindness, the movement is helping to build stronger, more compassionate communities across the globe.
James wrote the original song We Need a World Kindness Family and collaborated with local musicians and producers to record both the song and its accompanying music video. While he was unable to attend the inaugural K20 Kindness Without Borders Summit in Florida in person, his work was featured as part of the event, helping to showcase South Australia’s and Australia’s commitment to creating kinder communities.
We at The Spire Community were honoured to be invited by James to feature in the music video. It was a privilege to be involved in a project that reflects so many of the values we strive to foster every day through Hope’s Café, Goodie’s Op Shop, our Community Pantry, and the many programs that bring people together.
