Our closest brush with royalty yet. 👑

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming John and Bernadette Moore, who joined us with their family to celebrate a very special milestone: their 60th wedding anniversary. 💎

They even brought along a signed card from King Charles and Queen Camilla, organised by their children to mark the occasion.

Sixty years of marriage is well and truly worth the royal treatment, so we were honoured to play a small part in their family lunch and send out a little extra sweetness with a Kataifi cake.

Congratulations John and Bernadette. What a beautiful milestone. 💛

Once known as the meal of mountain rebels, Kleftiko has a story almost as rich as its flavour.

The dish takes its name from the Greek klephts—bandits who hid in the mountains during Ottoman rule, slowly cooking stolen lamb in sealed underground pits so the smoke and aroma wouldn’t give them away.

Our modern interpretation keeps the slow-cooked tradition alive.

Lamb marinated in herbs & honey, slow braised in parchment paper with vegetables, served with fried pita & tzatziki.
