A traditional Italian dessert with strong Friulian roots, Tiramisù has conquered the world with its simple but unforgettable flavours: coffee-soaked savoiardi, creamy mascarpone, eggs, sugar and a dusting of cocoa.

Soft, rich and comforting — the perfect way to end a meal.

Come and try it at Fogolar Furlan, homemade with love, just as tradition wants it. 🤎☕🍰

✨Curious Tuesday✨

In Friulian, cjase means “home” or “house”.

The word comes from the Latin casa, meaning a simple dwelling or hut — the same root behind Italian and Spanish casa.

Over time, Friulian developed its own distinctive sounds, and the word became cjase.

✨Curious Tuesday✨

Friulian: more than a dialect.

Spoken across much of Friuli, Friulian is a Romance language with ancient roots, a rich history and a strong cultural identity.

From its origins in the Latin spoken around Aquileia, to its medieval written records and its presence in Friulian communities abroad, Friulian has carried memory, belonging and tradition across generations.

And if you travel through Friuli today, you can still see this identity in everyday life: many town names and road signs appear in both Italian and Friulian.

A language of the past, yes — but above all, a living symbol of Friuli.
