It's with a heavy heart that we at 'Snag In A Bag ', announce the sudden passing of Michael, the hot plate guy and founder of this shop,.
He departed this life on 09/08/2024
We send condolences to his family, staff and friends. 💔🙏😞
Michael had a vision and Bec helped see it through....
In 2006 Michael and Bec threw a potable BBQ in a van, parked near by and would set up near the nightclub Rise ( 1999 - 2008).
There they would sell hot-dogs to the hungry people enjoying the night life
before moving their potable BBQ to Hindley St.
Michael then moved to a shop opposite Rio's/ Red Square and so was the birth of
'Snag In A Bag '
There the food changed to flavoured sausages in buns, hence Snag-In-A-Bag.
Then to burgers , Yiros/ Kebabs chips and the famous Shaslick sticks.
For 19 Years Michael had great staff who helped make this dream a success.
And you, the customers who were always there supporting them.
Thank you all for your love and support through the 19 years.
I will place a flower and card on the shop doors as a tribute,
you are welcome to do the same if you wish.
