One of my favourite things about running a business in Christies Beach is this…

Local businesses genuinely look after one another. ❤️

When we put together the Beach Road Detectives trail, I reached out to some businesses in the area to give them the heads up they were involved.

A little while later, my phone rang.

It was Amid from Beach Road Pizza.

He said, “I’d love to gift five Family Pizza Meal Deals for the detectives.” 🍕🙌

Completely unexpected.

Just a local business wanting to help create something special for local families.

Moments like that remind me why I love being part of this community.

So today, a huge thank you to Amid and the team at beachroadpizza for helping us make the school holidays that little bit more exciting.

We’ll be drawing our five lucky pizza winners today! 🎉

And don’t worry… we’ve still got the Family Movie Pass to give away, so stay tuned for that draw very soon. 🍿🎬

Well …. It’s the last day of the school holidays for us at the shop, and because the weather is too good to waste, we’ve decided to extend Beach Road Detectives for one more day! 🕵️🔍

We’ve had so much fun watching everyone put their taste buds to the test this week, and we officially have some champions! 😏🍬

🥇 Olivia guessed Strawberry 🍓 and Watermelon 🍉

🥇 Ben guessed Watermelon 🍉 and Strawberry 🍓 on Wednesday

🥇 Carter (pictured) guessed Pear 🍐 and Apple 🍏 on Thursday

Honestly, we were starting to think some of you might have secret superpowers because these flavours definitely had a few people stumped! 😂

Turns out we’ve been keeping a little secret… 😂📦

Ever since and Imani’s flavour guessing challenge started doing the rounds, we’ve had so many people asking,

“Wait… can we get a mystery box too?”

The answer is… absolutely!

The funny part is, you always could. 😏

Here’s how it works:

🧁 Tell us how many macarons you’d like.

🤫 Say, “Make it a mystery.”

🙈 Turn around while we pack your box. No peeking. No hints. No clues.

Then the fun begins…

Take your box home, bite into each macaron, and see how many flavours you can guess.

💡 Pro tip: Snap a photo of the cabinet before you leave. You’ll need it when the debates start over whether that was Lemon… or Crème Brûlée. 😂

It’s become the perfect date night, family challenge, road trip snack, or “who knows The Macaron Bar best?” competition.

So… are you brave enough to leave your favourite flavour up to chance? 👀🍬

Before I say this… just know I’d NEVER judge you for eating cheesecake for breakfast. 😂🫐

Because… I may have accidentally reminded myself just how good our Blueberry Cheesecake is this morning.

Seriously… I’d forgotten.

I think the secret is in the base.

A really good quality biscuit.
Real butter.
And one little trick we swear by…

A heaped spoonful of pure almond butter. 🤫

It gives the biscuit base that little something extra that has people asking, “What is that?!”

Now excuse me while I spend the rest of the day trying not to “quality control” another slice. 😅💙

When it rains… it pours. 🌧️😂

Today was one of those days where everything decided to happen at once.

Our mixer decided it had had enough, so we were suddenly on the hunt for a replacement.

Then, as if on cue…

The phone started ringing off the hook.

People just kept walking through the door.

Before we knew it, there was a line stretching right out the front for almost two hours straight. 🤯💕

The funny part?

Because we were waiting on the replacement mixer, there wasn’t much baking we could do anyway… so every single person could jump in and focus on restocking the fridges, packing boxes and looking after everyone who came through the door.

Talk about perfect timing.

Some days in a small business are planned… and some days you just roll with whatever gets thrown at you.

Today was definitely the second one. ❤️

To everyone who’s popped in today so far, thank you for keeping us on our toes. We absolutely loved the buzz! 🥰

So Lisa popped into Port Noarlunga Fish & Chips to grab lunch…

Before she could even say who it was for, Erika looked up and asked,

“Is this for Alex?” 😂

Erika… how did you even know?!

Then when lisa got back to the shop and found the sweetest little note on the bag…

“Made with love.” ❤️

It’s little moments like this that remind me why I love being part of our local community. We all look after each other, have a laugh, and somehow know each other’s lunch orders. 😂

Thanks, Erika, for making our rainy day even better. I hope everyone else’s fish and chips are being made with just as much love! 💕🍟

Flashback to 2019! 🤎 🌟

Today another Sam asked on our previous post…

“Have you ever made Banana + Nutella?” 🍌🍫

That question instantly took me back to Nutella Palooza, and what an incredible day that was!

We decided to go all in and created six different Nutella macaron flavours, each one trying to outdo the last.

From memory, we had:
🍌 Banana + Nutella
🍓 Strawberry + Nutella
🥥 Coconut + Nutella
🥜 Peanut Butter+ Nutella
And I can’t remember the others 😛

To top it all off, we walked away with the People’s Choice Award! 🏆❤️

Now you’ve got me wondering…
