25/11/2020
With 2020 coming to a close, I'd like to take the time to reflect on the year that was, and do so clearly outlining my intentions for 2021. If this year has taught us anything, it is the importance of proactive leadership, transparency and open communication. It is only fitting in our final weeks of trading for 2020 that I fill you in my goals for next year and how I plan to stay accountable for the things I want to manifest for myself and the greater community.
Over the last eight months we have been blessed as a business to work through the challenges of Covid 19 with the support of our customers, local community, friends and family. They have supported us through reduced trading hours, the launch of two seasonal menus, new events and additions to our business model. This is a blessing that has helped us enjoy great trading months and some of our most creative work to date.
When I took the time to sit down as a business owner and reflect on all of these important things, I was confronted by a number of choices I could make in 2021 to continue leading a meaningful and fulfilled life.
One choice that made a lot of sense to me involved a desire to spend more time with my children and also support my wife Natalie with her new business venture. Natalie actually finds herself taking on an amazing project that will give back to the community and positively influence the lives of others. The excitement of starting a new business is something that I understand from personal experience, as is the support of someone at home who can help out to make it as successful as possible.
And so with this I want to announce to you my decision to close the doors to Pane E Latte in the coming 6 months.
My intention for 2021 is to find a new owner for the space in Regency Rd. who will bring value, service and love to the community.
I am incredibly grateful for being part of an amazing neighbourhood that has stood by us through good and challenging times. For this reason, I feel that it is my responsibility to pass on the space to someone who can continue to be of service to the community. So if you know of someone who might be interested in taking on the space, please be sure to get in touch.
I want to thank you again for your support and encouragement over the years. As I am not selling the Pane E Latte brand I know I will leave this business dreaming of a day, in the distant future, when I can pop up and cook for you all again.
With Heartfelt Gratitude,
Matteo Giordano – Owner of Pane E Latte

At each moment you choose the intentions that will shape your experiences and those things upon which you will focus your attention. These choices affect your evolutionary process. This is so for each person.” ― Gary Zukav, The Seat of the Soul
