Mother’s Day weekend is always one of the busiest, craziest, and most emotional weekends for hospitality.

The fully booked tables.
The endless coffees.
The loud kitchen calls.
The last-minute changes.
The long hours on our feet.

And somehow, my team still showed up with smiles, patience, care, and so much heart.

I honestly could not be more grateful.

Behind every beautiful plate, every coffee served, every happy family celebrating their mums today — there is a team working incredibly hard behind the scenes to make it happen.

This weekend was exhausting, but watching everyone support each other, stay calm under pressure, and continue giving their best truly means everything to me.

Thank you for pushing through the rush with me.
Thank you for caring for our customers like family.
And thank you for being the heart behind everything we do.

We honestly didn’t expect so much love from all of you… 🤍

Reading every single comment, message, and kind word, it really meant a lot to our whole team. Yesterday was a tough one, but today feels a little lighter because of you.

In hospitality, we’re always trying our best to give you a good experience. Some days don’t go perfectly, but please know that there are real people behind every coffee, every plate, and every service, doing their best with what they have in that moment.

Your understanding, patience, and encouragement truly keep us going. It reminds us why we do what we do.

Some days in hospitality feel like walking into the unknown.

A staff member calls in sick last minute. We try everything — messaging, calling, hoping someone can step in… but no one’s available. We take a deep breath and tell ourselves, “it might be a quieter day anyway… it’s Gather Round.”

And then — boom.

The café fills up all at once.

Orders start flying in, the coffee machine doesn’t stop, the kitchen is pushing as fast as it can. Every single one of us is running, focusing, doing our absolute best to make sure every plate is right, every cup is perfect, every customer still feels looked after — even as the pressure keeps building.

No one slows down. No one gives up.

And finally, when it’s all over… when the last plate is sent, when we finally get a moment to sit down and breathe — we see a 1-star review.

It stings. It really does.

Not because we think we’re perfect, but because behind every busy service is a team that truly cares. A team that shows up, pushes through, and gives everything they have — even on the hardest days.

Hospitality isn’t just food and coffee. It’s people, effort, and heart — especially when things don’t go to plan.

Some days, all you really need is a simple, good meal 🤍

Crispy fried chicken that you can actually hear when you bite into it, soft toast layered with creamy ricotta and garlic sautee mushrooms, a little kick of spice, and fresh toppings to bring it all together. Nothing too fancy—just the kind of food that makes you pause for a moment and think, “yeah… today feels alright.”

okay but THIS combo… 🤤

crispy chicken + avo + waffle + crunchy slaw + spicy maple = lowkey one of my fav things on the menu all the time

it’s got that sweet + savoury thing going on, a bit messy (in a good way), and honestly just hits every time

not even gonna say much… just come try it yourself 😌
