- HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY -
Normally I (Kat) try to keep this all about the coffee (or don't post at all, because I'm garbage at social media) but I've been told instagram should be more personal so here goes.
Vice Coffee is a labour of love with the aim of showcasing women in the coffee supply chain. Our goal from day one has been highlighting the work of female farmers, and our coffee offering has historically and will continue to showcase the incredible work that these women do. Previously our IWD posts have been about them.
Today I'm showing us. Vice is run by two women: Maddie Rivett (she/her, q***r) on the left and myself, Kat Trakas (she/her, trans). Maddie is a wine maker by day and handles graphic design duties, secondary palate opinions and general common sense. She's deeply practical and keeps me focussed on the goal, and not my most recent harebrained hyperfocus. Meanwhile I'm the coffee roaster, client liaison and general dreamer. We do have a third member, Mina, our fluffy overlord who screams at us and occasionally bites. She's a bit of a t**t. Cute though.
We're both pretty camera shy so we don't tend to post pictures of ourselves, but here's one from our recent anniversary outing to prove that there we exist. You can see our fluffy wa**er in the stories.
