🌿🐣 ชะอมไข่ทอด • Cha Om Kai Tod 🐣🌿
One of Thailand’s most loved comfort foods 🇹🇭

Cha Om Kai Tod is a traditional Thai herb omelette made with fragrant acacia leaves, crispy on the outside and soft inside ✨

For many Thai families, this dish brings back childhood memories of home-cooked meals shared together around the table ❤️ Usually enjoyed with spicy Nam Prik or sour curry, it’s a true taste of authentic Thai culture.

At Thaiger Rabbit — the first Thai restaurants on Victoria Street since 1996 🇹🇭🐯🐰 — we continue serving classic Thai flavours the traditional way.

If you want to experience real Bangkok-style comfort food in Melbourne, don’t miss our Cha Om Kai Tod 🌿🍳

🌶️ ผัดพริกขี้หนู (Pud Prik Keenu) 🌶️
at Thaiger Rabbit by Ying Thai Restaurant 🐯🐰🍽️

A true Thai classic 🇹🇭 born from simple street cooking — fast wok, fresh bird’s eye chili 🌶️, garlic, and big flavour. That’s why it became so popular in Thailand… quick, spicy, and impossible to ignore 🔥

Some say it wakes you up better than coffee ☕… others say it tests your life decisions 😂

Thai Milk Tea 🧡🥤 ชาเย็น (Cha Yen)

If Thailand had a national drink, this bright orange beauty would definitely be in the running 😄 Cha Yen isn’t just a drink… it’s a lifestyle. Hot day? Cha Yen. After spicy food? Cha Yen. Feeling happy? Cha Yen. Feeling sad? Also Cha Yen 😂

A little bit of history for you 📜
Cha Yen started becoming popular in Thailand around the mid-20th century, when tea culture met street food culture. Influenced by tea traditions and later adapted with local creativity, Thai vendors added condensed milk, evaporated milk, and sugar to strong brewed tea — creating that rich, creamy, slightly sweet flavour we all know and love today. And of course… that iconic orange colour 👀

Why is it so popular?
Because it hits EVERYTHING: ✔ Sweet
✔ Creamy
✔ Strong tea flavour
✔ Ice cold and refreshing
Basically… it’s dessert AND a drink in one glass 😎

From Bangkok street carts to cafés around the world 🌏, Cha Yen has travelled far and wide. It’s become one of Thailand’s most recognisable drinks — right up there with Pad Thai and Tom Yum.

But here’s the thing… not all Cha Yen is created equal 🤫

At Thaiger Rabbit 🐰🇹🇭
We don’t use instant mixes like many places do.

We use imported tea leaves from our own supplier in Bangkok — the real deal.

That means: 👉 Deeper tea aroma
👉 More balanced flavour (not just sweet overload)
👉 Authentic Bangkok-style taste

One sip… and you’ll know the difference 😌
Come try it and see why Cha Yen has the world hooked 🧡🥤

Not really a sweet person… but THIS is super good 😳🤍

Soft, creamy, melt-in-your-mouth goodness — Cream Mochi by Tammy Treatz is seriously addictive 🍓🍵

From classic flavours to fun creations, there’s something for every sweet tooth 🍫✨

Perfect for gifting, sharing, or just treating yourself (you deserve it 😉)

🇹🇭From Bang Pho Market to Victoria Street… yes, our wok has travelled more than most people ✈️🔥

At Thaiger Rabbit by Ying Thai Restaurant, we’re not just one of the oldest Thai restaurants in Melbourne… we’re basically a little time machine with chilli 🌶️

Our story started in Bang Pho Market, Bangkok 🇹🇭 — We brought those same recipes (and that same chaos energy) to Victoria Street years ago — becoming one of the first to serve authentic Thai food in the area 🍜🥢 Back then, before Thai food was everywhere, we were already smashing garlic, tossing woks, and making neighbours wonder why it smells so good.

Nothing fancy, no shortcuts — just real Thai flavours, a lot of chilli, and recipes that have survived generations (and very hot kitchens) 🔥

So if your dish makes you sweat a little… don’t worry That’s not a problem — that’s tradition🌶️

Thaiger Rabbit — straight outta Bang Pho, still bringing the heat. 🔥🐯

🔥🍤 ผัดพริกแกงกุ้ง | Pad Prik Gaeng Goong 🍤🔥
Bold. Spicy. No mercy. 🌶️🔥

We take juicy prawns, throw them into the wok with our house-made chilli paste 🌶️, basil 🌿, and lime leaves 🍃… then turn the heat up like it owes us money.

In Thailand, this dish is everywhere —
from Bangkok street food stalls 🇹🇭 (where the wok never rests), to Chiang Mai night markets 🌙, to Phuket seafood spots 🌊 where the spice hits harder than the ocean breeze.

It’s the kind of food Thai people eat and immediately say: “not too spicy please”… then finish the whole plate anyway 😅🔥

One bite = sweat 😅 + spice 🌶️ + happiness 🍤

Pud Khing (ผัดขิง) 🫚🌶️

A classic Thai stir-fry made with fresh ginger, onion, and your choice of meat. Light, fragrant, and full of warm ginger flavor — simple but very comforting.

🇹🇭 Thai people love Pud Khing because it’s both tasty and healthy. Ginger helps warm the body and supports digestion, so it’s a popular everyday home-style dish, especially with jasmine rice 🍚

✨ Thaiger Rabbit by Ying Thai Restaurant 🐰🇹🇭 Our Pud Khing is wok-fried fresh to order, bringing you real Bangkok home-style flavour — simple, clean, and delicious 💛🍽️
