Pushtug Emma from the Felbermayr company: built in 1981 in the Wroclawska Ricni Lodenice Breslau, equipped with two MAN engines with 600 hp each. 23,09 Meter Pushboat was traveling under the names of TR 704, Carrera 4, Meister 3 und Gisela. Here Emma with the easy to remeber ENI 30000003 is moored near Krems an der Donau. Good Trip!

The AmaReina is a 135-meter-long luxury river cruise ship operated by AmaWaterways that accommodates up to 162 passengers. Built in 2014, the ship sails under the Swiss flag (ENI 02335818); here it is seen heading downstream past the Altenwörth lock—bon voyage!

Maria – registered in Decin with ENI 33001454 – is sailing downstream near Greifenstein an der Donau. The 23.10-meter-long push barge was built in 1981 in Wrocław, Poland. Since 2021, the vessel has been sailing for Ship Service sro. Prague under the Czech flag. Have a good trip!

The Heilbronn car transporter was built in 1964 in Pattje, Waterhuizen, the Netherlands. The 105 meter ship is equipped with 800 MWM HP, it is registered in Duisburg under ENI 4011270 and regularly commutes with its sister ship between Bratislava, Vienna and Kehlheim in Germany.

BLG LOGISTICS has been providing the Danube service since 1997 and has since transported more than 300,000 vehicles on the Danube. Inland shipping is an important part of the BLG network due to the connection to our own car terminals. Car transport by inland ship contributes to responsible treatment of the environment:

The shift from road transport to water is an important component of sustainable logistics. A barge can load 260 to 500 small cars. That corresponds to around 30 to 60 truckloads. With the same amount of energy, the barge travels 3.7 times as far. Compared to transport by rail, the energy saving is still 25 percent. With regard to the increasing volume of traffic on road and rail, inland waterway transport makes a significant contribution to relieving the dense transport network. Good Trip!

Built in 1990 and fully renovated in recent years, the 106-meter vessel features 55 comfortable outside cabins with French balconies, an indoor pool, a sauna, and an all-inclusive concept on European waterways. The 2022-built MS Spirit of the Danube cruise ship is Saga UK’s second newbuild 135 Meter riverboat constructed in Serbia at Vahali Shipyards and inaugurated in March 2022. Like the sistership Spirit of the Rhine 2021, both boats cruise on the rivers Danube, Main, Rhine and Moselle, and also on the Belgium and Dutch waterways. Moored here in / Tulln an der Donau, have a good trip!

The inland vessel „Dobra“ (ENI number 4019130) is a 110-meter-long motor tanker flying the Romanian flag; it is used on the Danube to transport liquid cargo—seen here heading upstream near Muckendorf an der Donau. Bon voyage!

The motor vessel Merlijn was built in 1930 by the shipyard Boot in Leiden, Netherlands and named ‚de Adelaar‘ (Eagle) as a cargo ship for bulk cargo. A new future for this ship was designed in 2001 when the previous owners Henk & Jantien bought the freighter and covered it into a river cruise ship Merlijn - the magic of water. With a length of 50 metres, it offers enough space and comfort for 28 guests in 14 cabins. The ship is often booked for a week’s holiday on the water in combination with individual cycling excursions. In August 2026, the old but very well-maintained ship with the registration ENI 03030887 was a guest on the Danube in Austria between Vienna and Passau. Here Merlijn is sailing near Tulln on the Danube, have a good trip!
