A truly unique place. For characters, aesthetes, art lovers, foodies and mountain admirers. Since 1755.

26 unique rooms, suites & homes. Excellent restaurant. Laidback but chic atmosphere. One of a kind spa. Nestled into a unique architectural ensemble.
But in the end, it’s all about the people. ♥️

Just a regular Thomas Schrenk visit at the Hirschen. You might catch him semi-professionally bouldering our walls or professionally rehanging the art around the house. His own artwork, thankfully, is always on view, from pieces he made during his residency here a couple of years ago to the most recent additions to the collection.

Some people might say there’s a better way to start the day. But we don’t know any of them.

Our pickled carrots can confirm: it’s nice around here.

Fine Dining with the heart of a Wirtshaus.

Restaurant Hirschen is a restaurant of the world, deeply rooted in the Bregenzerwald. A place that never wanted to be the best — just the one you’d call out for, half-asleep, at 4 in the morning.

Real producers. Daily changing dishes. A cellar full of ferments, a kitchen full of curiosity. And people who mean what they say.

A showroom for the good life.
Come see for yourself.

Tomorrow’s Alptag main characters will quench their thirst at the Schwarzenberg fountain. Meanwhile, we’ll happily take care of yours!

The Hirschen has always been a place where life is simply good. Our Spa made it even better.

Here in Schwarzenberg, we’re surrounded by the extraordinary nature and architecture of the Bregenzerwald. The Hirschen Spa is our love letter to it all, with water, craftsmanship, art, indulgence, and a garden brimming with life.

This weekend brings lots to get out of bed for!

FAQ BREGENZERWALD is back and has plenty going on through Sunday, including a special treat by our very own Raphaela Wirrer. 🤍

Saturday sees part of this year’s Alpabtrieb come through town, right at our doorstep.

And we’ll be here the whole time, taking care of you with good food and good company. 💛

Looking forward to seeing you around!

Fall’s around the corner, and we wanted to give you a quick heads up of what that looks like in Schwarzenberg — so don’t say we didn’t warn you. 😉
