Ich lebe mit meinem Mann und unseren drei Kindern in Bad Ischl in einem kleinen Einfamilienhaus mit großzügigem Garten – unser eigenes grünes Par

adies. Außer einem Jahr voller umfangreicher Vorbereitungen ;–) Mit August 2023 widme ich mich nun täglich meiner Leidenschaft und begebe mich stundenlang in meine kleine, feine Backstube Zuhause. Warum mich das Konditorhandwerk so begeistert? Es verbreitet Glücksgefühle. Für mich: wenn ich eine Torte oder andere Leckerei für dich gestalten kann, gibst du mir damit Momente des Glücks, weil ich diese Arbeit liebe. Darf ich mich in meine Kreativität vertiefen und mein künstlerisches Talent ausleben, so atmet meine Seele und ich fühle mich erfüllt. Dabei stelle ich mich gerne neuen Herausforderungen, um deine Wünsche und Vorstellungen umzusetzen. Große Tortenträume und Schoko-Visionen sind bei mir gut aufgehoben ;–)

Für dich: du bekommst ein essbares Kunstwerk, das mit viel Liebe und Leidenschaft erschaffen wurde. Es erfreut das Auge und den Gaumen gleichermaßen, vielleicht bringt es dich sogar ein bisschen zum Staunen. Es bietet dir glückliche Genussmomente auf mehreren Ebenen. Optisch, geschmacklich und sofern relevant: das beruhigende Wissen, dass diese Leckerei genau deinen Ernährungsbedürfnissen entspricht. Du bekommst bei mir sozusagen
eine „glückliche Torte“ ;–)

9 Fakten über mich:

Meine Familie ist für mich das Wichtigste auf der Welt und ich liebe es Mama zu sein – auch wenns manchmal ganz schön herausfordernd ist ;–)

Ich bin einmal jährlich an einem Sandstrand in Brasilien aufzufinden und könnte mich dort die ganze Zeit nur von Wassermelonen und Kokosnüssen ernähren.

In der Tätigkeit als Konditorin fühle ich mich zu 100% angekommen und habe mir mit meiner kleinen Auftragskonditorei einen sehr großen Traum erfüllt.

Ich unterhalte mich täglich ca. zur Hälfte auf Englisch. Meinen brasilianischen Mann habe ich in Dublin – ganz klassisch – in einem Pub kennengelernt und irgendwie ist uns das Irish English geblieben…

In meinen Adern fließt Schaffensdrang – ich brauche das kreative Tun, um mich „ganz“ zu fühlen.

Ich bin auch diplomierte Ernährungstrainerin. Als solche ist das Thema Ernährung für mich ein wichtiges und fließt in meine Arbeit als Konditorin mit ein.

Meinen Ausgleich finde ich, wie so viele Menschen, beim Abtauchen in die Natur.

Ich liebe es meinen Horizont zu erweitern und lerne stets Neues dazu. Als Konditorin genauso wie als Mama und in allen anderen Lebensbereichen, die mich gerade bewegen.

RESONANCE
Something feels familiar.

For The Edible Gallery, I chose five states that live at the heart of EVOKE and translated each of them into a dessert: Resonance, Sensuality, Becoming, Connection and Memory.

Resonance became the beginning of this journey because it describes that first moment when something we encounter reaches something already within us. A taste, a scent, a texture or even a detail can feel familiar, sometimes before we can even explain why.

This idea sits deeply within the philosophy of EVOKE. When I create an experience, I want to understand the person, the couple or the brand behind it, because this is where I find the details, stories, values and emotions that can create resonance. When something within the experience feels connected to something within you, it suddenly becomes personal.

For me, the Marillenknödel was a natural way to explore this idea. Growing up in Austria, it belongs to a culinary language I have known for as long as I can remember, carrying the familiarity of ripe apricots, soft dough and buttery crumbs.

For RESONANCE, I took that familiar idea and translated it into a new dessert experience, allowing the flavours and associations to remain recognisable while changing the way they are encountered.

And this is also how EVOKE approaches creation: understanding what already carries meaning, exploring what it can evoke, and finding its expression through taste, texture, form and presentation.

Resonance begins when something new touches something we already know.

What makes a wedding cake truly personal?

I keep coming back to this question, because personalisation can mean so many things.

It can begin with colours, flowers or materials chosen for the wedding. For me, it becomes especially interesting when a design begins to carry something that belongs to the couple themselves.

A place they know. A memory they share. Something from their story that would mean very little to anyone else in quite the same way.

For K & J, parts of their story became hand-painted scenes across their wedding cake, turning moments and places from their lives into details they could discover throughout the design.

And I think this is where a wedding cake can become something deeply personal: when you look at it and recognise pieces of your own life within it.

How do you turn something intangible into something you can actually taste?

I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of giving feelings, memories and meaning a physical expression through taste, texture and form. This question has become deeply connected to how I create at EVOKE, and for The Edible Gallery, I wanted to make that process visible.

Every EVOKE experience has an origin. It might be a person or a couple, a brand, a story, a place or a moment, carrying its own identity, memories, values, experiences and emotions.

“The Origin”, the sculptural piece at the beginning of this installation, was created to represent exactly that starting point.

From there, EVOKE explores the intangible layers held within that origin: its feelings, meanings, connections and memories, translating them into edible art.

For this installation, I chose five states that live at the heart of EVOKE: Resonance, Sensuality, Becoming, Connection and Memory. They represent five facets of a philosophy that reaches far beyond them, and each became the starting point for its own dessert.

I explored what resonance could taste like, what texture could express sensuality, how becoming could find a form, how connection could be experienced and what might make a taste become a memory.

Together, The Origin and these five desserts made the EVOKE process tangible: beginning with an individual identity, listening closely to what it holds and understanding the feelings, stories and details that make it uniquely its own.

Then translating all of it into something you can see, taste, feel and remember.

Every bloom begins in my hands.

As I shape it, petal by petal, I find myself asking each petal the same question.

Where do you belong?

The question slows me down.
It asks me to look closer.
To understand how this bloom wants to unfold.
Its movement.
Its character.

Only then do I know where this petal needs to go.

Every petal has its place.

The craft lies in finding it.

In recent years, I’ve come to understand what it is that truly makes someone beautiful.

Society often teaches us to look for beauty in perfect skin, a toned body, or silky hair.

But look a little closer.
What makes you look at someone and quietly think, How beautiful, is seeing their soul shine through their eyes. Hearing the authenticity in their laughter. Sensing their essence in the way they move.

In that moment, it doesn’t matter whether they have a small nose or big ears.

Because true beauty lives in the uniqueness of who we are.

This piece, The Spark, began with a question that stayed with me for a long time.

How much of who we are is shaped by the beliefs we carry about ourselves?

Some become part of the foundation we build our lives on and, over time, quietly become boundaries we no longer question.

This piece captures the moment something begins to shift.

Maybe a question, a conversation, an encounter.
Sometimes a series of moments that loosen what once felt unquestionable.

As one portrait fades, another begins to emerge.

The Spark is about that first glimpse beneath beliefs we once accepted as truth.

I think of pieces like this as Edible Family Heirlooms.

That may sound like a contradiction.
After all, a family heirloom is something we preserve. Something we pass from one generation to the next.

So how could something that lasts for only a single day ever become one?
What makes something a family heirloom?

Its age?
Its craftsmanship?
Its material?
Or simply the fact that it was passed down?

Think about the heirlooms in your own family.
Would they mean the same if they had belonged to someone else?
Probably not.

Because they were never precious simply because of what they are.
They became precious because of whose lives they became part of.

The stories.
The people.
The moments.

Some works of art are meant to exist for decades.

Others make a single moment so meaningful that it is remembered, retold and carried forward through generations.

This is what I mean when I say Edible Family Heirloom.

A work of edible art that gives tangible form to a family’s memories, values and essence.

Shared around the table.

Remembered as part of a family’s legacy.

Some wedding cakes tell the story of a day.

This one tells the story of a lifetime.

Every painting represents a place, a memory or something that has shaped their lives.

The castle, where everything began.

The hunting tower and the stag, reflecting a shared passion for hunting, nature and wildlife.

The mountains that feel like home.

One painting shows them as a family, standing by the lake and looking towards the future they are building together.

Another imagines them many years from now.

A reminder of where they come from, the generations before them, and the hope that one day they will still be standing side by side.

At the centre stands a single tree.

The family’s roots.

The place where past, present and future meet.

Above it, five wild roses.

One for each member of their family.

Every detail was chosen with intention.
Every brushstroke honours a part of their lives.
